In a recent interview, Milap Zaveri, the director of 'Satyameva Jayate 2', candidly discussed his fallout with John Abraham, admitting that his admiration for the actor backfired during the film.
John Abraham is one of the most charming, talented, and famous actors in Bollywood. He is also known for his honest interviews and simple lifestyle. The actor made his debut with the hit film, Jism in 2003. Since then, the actor's career graph has grown, and he hasn't looked back.
Following Satyameva Jayate 2's lacklustre success, there were speculations of a falling out between director, Milap Zaveri and actor, John Abraham . Zaveri has acknowledged that he made a movie that emphasized the actor more than it communicated a story because he was so enamored with John.
John Abraham and Divya Khosla starred in Satyameva Jayate 2 , which was apparently made on a budget of Rs. 93 crores. Many were shocked by the film's lackluster box office performance. John Abraham was dissatisfied with the movie's box office performance. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan on his YouTube channel, Director, Zaveri recently told that the movie lacks a compelling plot.
In the same interview, Milap Zaveri clarified that his intense affection for John Abraham had certain negative repercussions in addition to the film's postponed release because of the COVID-19 outbreak. These emotions made it more difficult for them to work together and gave the matter more emotional weight. Milap Zaveri realized that his affection for him had backfired and that they had been silent for a few months. He said:
"I was a fan of his and tried to show he could do everything on screen, but that love backfired."
In response to a question concerning his falling out with the actor, Zaveri revealed that he hadn't heard from John Abraham for two to three months following the release of the movie. Zaveri claimed that after contacting the actor by phone and text, the actor replied that he was experiencing extreme sadness. The director explained that rather than being angry with him, the actor expressed his sorrow at the importance of the movie. He talked about how excited he was about the initiative and how disappointed he was over its failure. In the end, Zaveri considered how their relationship had been impacted by the movie's failure, leaving them both devastated. In his words:
"He didn't say he was upset with me, but he expressed, 'I am sad because so much depended on this film for me.' I was excited about the project, and I was upset that it didn't succeed; both of our hearts were broken because the film didn't do well."
The director, Milap Zaveri, went on to say that John retreated inside himself as a result of the film's failure, which was a huge shock. But gradually they resumed their conversation, and John went to see Zaveri and gave him a hug. The actor stated that he would like to collaborate with Zaveri again in the future.
Zaveri stated that although they are close friends now, they don't talk as much as they used to. He still wants to work with John on an action movie and plans to get in touch with him soon. On the work front, Milap Zaveri's upcoming film, Masti 4 , will feature Riteish Deshmukh. John Abraham will next be seen in The Diplomat and Tehran .
