“At 20, I had perfect skin. You don't need to take care of it that much. As you grow older, I was advised I should start facials after 30, not before that. I started around 30 only; they say… that is when your skin and face start getting affected… I was very regular with my facials… It is very important, you have to take care of your skin. I apply sunscreen regularly… whenever I go out, I have my sunscreen on… I don't go out any day without sunscreen, like every single day.”
Bela believes that regularity and consistency make all the difference when it comes to skincare and long-term results. She also never forgets to wear her sunscreen whenever she goes out.
Bela's skincare regimen is all about using natural products straight from the kitchen. From raw milk and malai to lemon, fresh aloe vera, besan, and haldi (turmeric), she swears by these natural ingredients to cleanse, exfoliate, and nourish her skin. Her go-to beauty hack is to apply raw milk on her face every morning.
“I used to take oats and I would soak them in milk, sometimes even put some almond and all into it and make a pack and put it on my face.”
In the video with Mira Rajput Kapoor, Bela reveals how she prefers natural beauty and avoids make-up at all costs except for lipstick. The only time she wore make-up was on her wedding day which made her 'look worse'. She does not like to experiment with elaborate skincare routines and sticks to the basics: sunscreen, a good moisturizer and a night serum.
Skincare, according to Mrs Rajput, starts from within. Her typical day starts with a glass of water mixed with honey and lemon for its detoxifying benefits. She then drinks water infused with fenugreek seeds (fenugreek), soaked overnight, followed by coriander water prepared the same way. These ingredients help detoxify the body and maintain a healthy gut.
Bela uses everyday kitchen ingredients like lemon, orange peel, cucumber, besan, and turmeric for skin care. For special occasions, she likes to pamper herself with some homemade ubtan.
The 64-year-old also loves using oats soaked in milk as a body scrub. She adds:
“If I could, I would actually live to have a bath in milk… I think my wrinkles are showing up more nowadays, I mean, that's my concern mainly. Then I apply even more milk.”
Talking about Mira's personal life, she is married to superstar, Shahid Kapoor. She is a beloved public figure known for her chic style.
