While many celebrities are busy meeting friends and partying their night away, Bollywood's cute couple, Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor prefer to keep the celebrations intimate. Last year's celebration was extra special for the couple as they had celebrated the Diwali for the first time with their newborn son, Zain. And instead of partying, they chose to celebrate it at their home with kids, Misha and Zain. The couple had shared pictures of their celebrations on their respective Instagram handles and we loved how they demonstrated their love for each other. Also, this was the first time, they had shared a complete family picture.
Every year, apart from our own Diwali celebrations, we wait for our favourite celebs' celebration pictures and here they are, right here for a visual treat to our eyes! And like every year, Mira yet again took to Instagram and posted drool-worthy pictures of herself and Shahid, looking dapper in their traditional best. Donned in a Punit Balana green anarkali, with hubby Shahid by her side decked in white, ShaMira (as theyir fans fondly call them), were once again a huge hit! Here are the snaps:
Mira, who often gets trolled, got into trouble for sharing a lip-lock picture with her husband, Shahid, and this didn't go well with the netizens. They were criticised for sharing an intimate moment on such an auspicious day. However, the star wife, Mira never paid any heed to all these trollers and show a rather calm attitude. We remember in an interview with the Times Internet, Mira had shared that internet is the only platform, wherein people can express their point of view. While some may like, some may not. After all, not everyone is going to like you. (Must Read: Taimur Ali Khan Celebrates Diwali With Parents And Half Siblings, Sara Ali Khan And Ibrahim Khan)
She was quoted as saying, "The internet is one platform that is accessible to everyone. People can say what they feel and it gives everyone the right to express themselves the way they want and to what extent they feel like. So, there will be opinions. It's not that everyone is going to love you. I have always spoken for myself and I have never shied away from expressing what I truly feel. It’s not something new for me. Nowadays, people receive backlash for whatever they do or say. It is the way the internet is. At some level, it is a bit sad."
Shahid Kapoor has changed ever since Mira Rajput Kapoor entered his life. He now knows the meaning of family time and celebrating special occasions at home. In his many interviews, the actor has accepted that Mira had made turned him into a better man and it is after embracing fatherhood, he values his parent's sacrifice.
In an interview with the Filmfare magazine, Shahid had shared that he didn't care much about people surrounding him and it was after becoming a parent he realised how selfish he has been. In the actor's own word, he had shared, "I was pretty self-oriented till I became a parent. Though I believed I was selfless. But when I became a parent, I realised I was actually damn selfish. Now I don't put myself first. You end up thinking about your kids and family first. Sometimes it's nice. Sometimes it's frustrating because you do need to put yourself first at times. Every individual needs to have their own breathing space. I struggle with it." (Also Read: Neeti Mohan And Nihaar Pandya's First Pre-Diwali Bash Post Marriage, He Has A Gala Time With In-Laws)
