Every girl dreams of a man, who aces his role as a husband and a father. Check out Mira Rajput Kapoor's adorable note for the 'daddy of her kids', Shahid Kapoor!
For the longest time, Father's Day was just a mere day as kids were scared to express their unconditional love for their dads. Earlier, fathers used to hide their emotions behind their strong demeanour and their kids used to find it hard to express their feelings. But the new age daddies have broken the notion and showed the world that they can be the 'daddy cools', who can give a tough competition to the mommies. They are not just actively participating in their kids' daily activities, but they are also establishing a strong bond with them. And Bollywood actor, Shahid Kapoor is one such adorable daddy of his two little munchkins, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor. Shahid not just loves pampering his kids, but he is also extremely protective for them. For instance, we remember on the chat show, Famously Filmfare, Shahid was asked if he is more protective about his children because of the childhood he had and seeing his own parents getting divorced. To this, the actor had instantly shared that his wife, Mira often tell him to calm down. The Kabir Singh actor had said, “My wife tells me that I am a little obsessive and protective and that I need to calm down a little bit.”
On the occasion of Father's Day (June 21, 2020), Mira Rajput Kapoor took to her Instagram handle and posted a loving picture with the 'daddy of her kids', Shahid Kapoor. The picture showed the candid moment shared between Shahid and Mira while they were hugging each other. Alongside it, Mira wrote a note, which can be read as "Happy Father’s Day to the best Dad. Talking about fatherhood, in an interview with the Filmfare, Shahid Kapoor had shared his experience of being a father. He had said, "I was pretty self-oriented till I became a parent. Though I believed I was selfless. But when I became a parent, I realised I was actually damn selfish. Now I don’t put myself first. You end up thinking about your kids and family first. Sometimes it’s nice. Sometimes it’s frustrating because you do need to put yourself first at times. Every individual needs to have their own breathing space. I struggle with it. I respect my parents a lot more today than I did before I was a parent. Now I understand what all they did for me. I don’t know if it’s too late for me to apologise but through Filmfare I say, ‘Mom and dad, sorry for all those times I was a prick’."
