Veteran actor, Mithun Chakraborty is an inspiration in himself and his stardom is second to none. However, he had to struggle a lot during his initial days in the film industry.
Born on June 16, 1950, Mithun Chakraborty is one of the finest actors in the history of Bollywood and his contribution to the Indian film industry is commendable. Whether we talk about his unique style, dancing steps, and dialogue delivery, he is simply one of the last of his kind, and imagining Bollywood without 'Disco King' is quite hard. Over the years, Mithun has received tons of accolades in his name. However, his journey has not been an easy one.
Talking about his personal life, Mithun Chakraborty had got married to the late actress, Yogeeta Bali in 1979. The couple is blessed with four kids, three sons, Mahaakshay, Namashi, Ushmey, and one daughter, Dishani. And the beautiful family never fails to dote on each other and shower love on one another.

In an interview with the ETimes, Mithun Chakraborty was asked to shed some light on the most difficult phase of his career and share how did he bounce back from it. To this, the veteran actor shared that every person has a struggling phase in their lives and talking about it might demotivate the aspiring artists. However, he added that he had to struggle too much in his initial days and said:
"I generally don't talk much about this, and also there's no particular phase I want to mention. Let’s not talk about those struggling days since it might demotivate aspiring artists. Everyone goes through struggles, but mine was so much."
Mithun further revealed that he used to think that he won't be able to achieve his goals, and thus, he had thought of committing suicide. He shared that he couldn't even return to his hometown, Kolkata due to some reasons. However, the actor said that he didn't give up and fought all the battles with bravery. In his words:
"Sometimes I used to think I won't be able to achieve my goals, I even thought of committing suicide. I couldn't even return to Kolkata due to some reasons. But my advice is never to think of ending your life without fighting. I am a born fighter and I didn't know how to lose. And, see where I am now."
For the unversed, Mithun Chakraborty's younger son, Namashi is following in his dad's footsteps and kick-starting his career in the film industry. In the same interview, when the actor was asked about the lessons Namashi learned from him and his elder son, Mahaakshay's innings in Bollywood, the doting dad said:
"I have always told him to stay grounded and not lose his focus. He has the potential to be a good actor. Let's see how he channels this in his first film."
On the work front, Mithun Chakraborty was last seen in the film, The Kashmir Files.
