Even after a series of events in 2019, Mohammad Shami's wife, Hasin Jahan, once again pled to the SC to demand for his arrest warrant challenging the Calcutta HC's order.
Indian cricketer, Mohammad Shami and his sour relationship with his estranged wife, Hasin Jahan is no longer hidden from the public eye. It started from the day in 2018, when Hasin had posted some screenshots claiming that her husband is involved in multiple relationships, adultery and domestic violence. Fast forward to today, she is still now waiting to get her justice. Once again, as she petitioned against the cricketer for equal treatment in the virtue of rights, Hasin challenged the Calcutta High Court, which had given an order in favour of Shami.
After the Calcutta High Court order dated March 28, 2023, dismissed Hasin Jahan's plea seeking an arrest warrant against Mohammad Shami, she moved to the Supreme Court. Hasin has moved the Supreme Court through her counsels, Deepak Prakash, Advocate-on-Record, Nachiketa Vajpayee and Divyangna Malik Vajpayee, Advocate, alleging her husband on the same grounds as earlier. Hasin mentioned that Shami used to demand dowry from her and that he has been continuously involved in illicit extra-marital sexual affairs with prostitutes, especially during his BCCI tours, in the hotel rooms provided by the BCCI, even till the present day.

Shami’s wife, Hasin raised her concerns in the plea before the Supreme Court that there has been no progress in the case. Moreover, she requested no special treatment for celebrities under the law. As per the petitioner, Hasin's words:
“Criminal Trial in the present case has been stayed for the past 4 years, without any just circumstances, in a case wherein Respondent No. 3 did not even pray for the stay of criminal trial and his sole grievance was only against the issuance of Arrest warrants against them, thus, the Sessions Court acted in an erroneous and biased manner, by virtue of which the rights and interests of the Petitioner have been severally jeopardized and prejudiced.”
On March 6, 2018, Hasin Jahan had posted a series of screenshots, which revealed her husband’s chat with various women. Later, in an interview with ABP, the cricketer's estranged wife was asked about the same. To which, she had revealed that the pictures were just the tip of an iceberg. In reality, Shami’s acts are far more heinous, and that he has relationships with multiple women.

Following this, the year 2019 witnessed another series of events, wherein Hasin created a ruckus at his house in Sahaspur Ali Nagar village in Uttar Pradesh, she demanded Rs. 10 lakhs as monthly maintenance and many other things. However, reacting to all the allegations against him, Mohammad too tweeted his thoughts. He mentioned that all of this drama is a planned step to destroy his career and nothing else.
