Mona Singh, who had made the childhood of every 90s' kid memorable by playing the role of 'Jassi' in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin, had taken everyone by surprise when she had announced her wedding on Instagram, back in 2019. For the unversed, the actress had tied the knot with producer, Shyam Rajagopalan in an intimate and traditional Sikh wedding in the presence of their family members and close friends.

Mona had met Shyam through a common friend at a party. Mona had taken to her IG handle to announce her wedding along with a picture and had captioned it as, "Love laughter and a happily ever after." Ever since then the duo has been setting major relationship goals for everyone. Mona shares some glimpses of her happy married life quite often.
Mona Singh, who had gotten hitched on December 28, 2019, just before the lockdown had started, has not yet got the opportunity to go on a honeymoon with her husband, Shyam Rajagopalan. In an interview with the Times of India, when Mona Singh was quizzed about her honeymoon plans, she was quick to respond that owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, it can wait as of now. She said, "Since the time we have gotten married we are living in a lockdown. We haven't been able to go tour honeymoon yet, but I want the world to heal first."
The 3 Idiots actress further asserted that the duo is in no hurry to plan their honeymoon because for both of them the recovery of the people is a priority. The actress said, "We are not in any hurry now because for both of us, recovery of people is more important than our leisure. The pandemic should get over first." No wonder, Mona Singh and Shyam Rajagopalan's decision reflect how responsible they are as citizens.

Though Shyam Rajagopalan and Mona Singh have not yet been able to able to go for their honeymoon, the duo had been to a small weekend outing and was accompanied by their friend and actor, Gaurav Gera. Mona had shared her pictures from the outing and had called it to be a perfect weekend. She had written, "A weekend full of love laughter n new experiences #boatrides #sunbathing #weekend #farmlife #perfectweekend"
Earlier in an interview with Pinkvilla, Mona Singh had shared how Shyam Rajagopalan had proposed to her before her birthday out of nowhere. She had said, "He proposed to me in October just before my birthday. I was in his car and he popped out the ring in the middle of the road. He just asked me out of the blue if I would marry him and put the ring in my hand."
