On Suraj Nambiar's IG handle, Mouni Roy's pictures from their couple spa session confirmed their relationship amidst their wedding reports.
For the past few days, the rumour mills are working overtime to churn out reports regarding Mouni Roy’s wedding. She is reportedly dating a Dubai-based banker, Suraj Nambiar and according to the latest media buzz, the two are ready to tie the knot. It is reported that their pre-wedding ceremony will take place on January 26, 2022, and their wedding will happen on January 27, 2022, in Goa. While Mouni and Suraj have neither confirmed nor denied their wedding or dating reports, the Naagin actress’ pictures on the banker’s IG handle validate their relationship.
Mouni Roy has remained tight-lipped on her relationship with Suraj Nambiar for the longest of time. In August 2020, we had found a video on Instagram featuring Mouni shooting hoops. In the video, Mouni was cheered by a voice in the background. According to reports flashed in ETimes, the voice was of her rumoured boyfriend, Suraj Nambiar. The report had also claimed that Mouni was seen shooting hoops in The Marina Torch, the building where Suraj Nambiar stays. She was also spotted in Dubai with Suraj on a trip.

As Suraj Nambiar made his IG handle public, we got our hands on unseen pictures of Mouni Roy. On September 28, 2019, Suraj had shared two pictures of Mouni from a spa session in Soneva Kiri, a resort in Thailand. Mouni could be seen draped in a bathrobe, looking outside the window from the room of their couple spa session. Along with the pictures, Suraj had written, “Paradise” in Thai and Mouni had replied with “Beloved” written in Thai. Some other posts on Suraj’s IG handle also feature glimpses of Mouni and the actress has also liked every post on his account, which kind of confirms their relationship.
According to a report in ETimes, Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar had planned a grand reception in Mumbai for their friends after a wedding in Goa on January 27, 2022. However, now they have cancelled it, keeping the COVID situation in mind. The report had also mentioned that Mouni will have two weddings as per Bengali and South Indian rituals. The report had stated:
“Mouni and Suraj had planned a reception party for their friends and her industry colleagues. However, keeping in mind the surge in COVID-19 cases, they have cancelled the party. She doesn’t want to put anyone’s health at risk. Her family and close friends will be attending the wedding in Goa. The actress has planned both a Bengali and South Indian-style wedding, as she wants to incorporate rituals from both regions on her big day.”

In August 2020, when Mouni Roy had tried an Instagram filter by her friend, Roshni Chopra, her story had caught everyone’s attention. Mouni had flaunted a huge diamond rock on her ring finger, which had made everyone wonder if she had secretly got engaged to Suraj Nambiar. On National Handloom Day, Mouni had posted a few pictures in a saree where we could spot the same ring on her finger. Scrolling through Mouni's social media profile, we could spot her with the ring in several pictures.
Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar are reported to get married at the luxurious Hilton Resort in Goa.
