Mrunal Thakur initially dismissed a fan for editing a photo of them as a couple but later praised his editing skills. Read on to learn more about it.
Mrunal Thakur has become one of the prominent faces in Indian showbiz. After showcasing her acting prowess on television screens, she switched to films and has not looked back ever since. Her portrayals in films such as Jersey, Seetha Ramam, and Hi Nanna demonstrate her ability to make any character come to life. Recently, the 32-year-old actress garnered much attention from people on the internet for slamming a fan online.
A social media user photoshopped an image to such a pro level that it looked like the actress, Mrunal, and he was celebrating Diwali together. In the edited image, the man is seen lighting a firecracker with Mrunal beside him, his arm wrapped around the Seetha Raman actress. The person shared the photo on Instagram and captioned it, "Diwali Photo Editing. Bollywood Actress Photoshoot..." Mrunal Thakur was dissatisfied with this, and she commented on the post:
"Bhai kyu jhooti tassali de rahe hain aap apne aap ko? Aapko lagta hain ki aap yeh Jo kar rahe hain yeh cool hain? Ji nahi!" (Why are you giving yourself false reassurance? Do you really think that what you’re doing is cool? No, it's not!)
But shortly after posting the comment, Mrunal changed her mind and took it down. After giving the man credit for the edit, she shared the post on her Instagram Stories. She captioned it, "Hope you edit good films one day! Good Luck, Happy Diwali."
However, Mrunal later posted a video on her Instagram, clarifying her actions. She revealed how thrilled she was to see the fan's post at first and commented on that picture. Mrunal said she was happy she could celebrate Diwali, at least with someone pointing to that edited picture. Then she explained that she saw that he had edited his pictures with multiple other actresses.
Mrunal acknowledged feeling sad since this hurt her heart. The actress, however, praised his editing abilities and wished him luck for utilising his talent well. Mrunal Thakur further said that his intention may not have been that bad and urged everyone to refrain from criticising him. Jokingly, she said that she hoped he wouldn't break anyone's heart further. She said:
"Guys, ap log bacche ki jaan logey kya? Maine woh comment kar dia. Pehle jab main dekha main khush hui chalo kisi aur ke saath na sahi inke saath hi main Diwali toh mana rahi hoon! Phir I opened his page and then I see that he has edited his video with each and every actress! My heart was broken! I was so sad! But I really love his editing skills and I really pray and hope that he uses his art for the right things! But please don't say bad things to him. His intention was maybe not bad. I just hope woh aur logon ka dil na tode!"
On the work front, Mrunal will next be seen with Ajay Devgn in the sequel of the action comedy, Son of Sardaar, which Vijay Kumar Arora helms. She also has David Dhawan's comedy untitled film with Varun Dhawan. Mrunal is also part of Pooja Meri Jaan, which also stars, Huma Qureshi.
