In a candid conversation, Mrunal Thakur opened up about experiencing her lowest days and also revealed that she's considering freezing her eggs.
Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur is well-known for speaking her heart out about every trivial matter. She prefers being real in this seemingly perfect world influenced by social media. Mrunal once shared a candid teary-eyed picture of herself on her Instagram stories, showcasing her moments of vulnerability. Now, Mrunal has opened up about feeling her lowest self on certain days and revealed how she felt after becoming a subject of body shaming.
In an interview with Humans of Bombay, Mrunal Thakur opened up about experiencing her lowest moments in life when she struggled to even get out of bed. Recalling the same, the actress shared that she didn't even had a desire to wake up, but she decided to push herself. She also mentioned that nobody except her family cared for her at that time and added:
“There were days where I didn’t want to wake up, I didn’t want to get out of my bed, but I did. Not for others, but for myself. I’m feeling low one day, two days, three days, weeks, months, but nobody’s going to care except your family. So I feel like it’s so important to remind ourselves that if there are bad days, there will be good days. So that was just like a proof, there are days, and it’s absolutely normal for you to feel not okay.”

Mrunal also opened up about being an advocate of body positivity and shared that she was trolled for having a pear-shaped body. She shared that she was afraid of wearing body-hugging outfits and crop tops earlier, but now things have changed for her. Mentioning how people believe in the beauty standards set by the Kardashians, Mrunal appreciated the curvaceous bodies of Indian women. She said:
“I’m going to change that beauty standard by flaunting my curves. Earlier I was so afraid of wearing anything body-hugging. But now, I’m like, ‘Body-hugging? Bring it on. And crop tops? Bring it on. Why do we need Kardashians to set the beauty standards? Every Indian woman walking on the streets, they’re so curvaceous, they’re so beautiful.”
The Sita Ramam actress also discussed her opinion on relationships and finding the right partner in life. Reflecting on actress, Mona Singh’s decision about freezing her eggs, Mrunal said that she also wishes to consider following the same procedure. In her words:
“Relationships, I know it’s tough, but that’s why you need the right partner who would understand what the nature of your job is. Freezing the eggs, yes, I’m also considering that.”

Earlier, Mrunal Thakur made an appearance on the second episode of Bumble's YouTube channel and busted many myths existing in our society. During the conversation, the actress talked about her plans to have a baby and become a mother. She shared that sometimes she feels the need to have a baby and at times, she wants to freeze her eggs. Speaking about how supportive her mother is of her decision to embrace motherhood, Mrunal shared:
“There are times when I feel I want to have a baby. But, my mother surprisingly said that even if I want to freeze my eggs or be a single mother, that’s okay. And I thought, wow mom, this is amazing.”
On the work front, Mrunal Thakur was last seen in the film, The Family Star, opposite Vijay Devarakonda.
