In her personal life, she was married to Ravish Desai. Well, after 9 years of their marital bliss, the couple recently announced their separation.
Taking to his IG handle, Ravish Desai shared the news of his separation from Mugdha Chaphekar. He shared a picture note on his IG handle, and revealed that he and Mugdha took this decision to part ways as husband and wife and to pursue their lives as individuals. It's been a few months since Mugdha and Ravish's fans have been wondering if something is off between the couple as they have restrained from any social media interactions.
Their fans questioned them about not liking each other's posts and not being present in each other's social media updates. Well, in the separation announcement post, Ravish also shared that he and Mugdha shared a great bond filled with friendship, love, and respect, which they will continue to carry forward. Ravish also added that it's been one year since he and Mugdha have been living separately. He also requested his and Mugdha's fans and the media to allow them some privacy in this tough time to heal. He also asked everyone not to fall for any kind of fabricated statements and stories. He penned:
"After much contemplation and thought, Mugdha and I decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. It's been more than a year now. We have had a beautiful journey together that of love, friendship and respect, and that would continue all our lives. We request our beloved fans, well-wishers, and the media to be kind and supportive and give us the privacy we need to heal. Kindly do not believe in any false stories and statements. Thank you for your love and support."
Mugdha Chaphekar and Ravish Desai used to be one of the much-loved couples on the show, Satrangi Sasural. The couple first met on the set of the same show and fell in love with one another. It was two years later, when in January 2016, the couple exchanged rings and sealed the deal of forever. In December of the same year, Mugdha Chaphekar and Ravish Desai got married at a lavish yet low-key wedding soiree.
Mugdha Chaphekar and Ravish Desai's wedding happened in a lavish hotel in Mumbai. For her wedding day, Mugdha Chaphekar turned into a traditional Maharashtrian bride. She was dolled up in a yellow-toned nauvari saree, teamed with green toned blouse. Gold jewels, including a statement choker, sitahaar, bangles, and nath added stars to her look. Ravish, on the other hand, looked handsome in a white-toned kurta-pajama set. For her reception, Mugdha wore a golden lehenga, teamed with a red dupatta, while Ravish looked handsome in a black bandhgala sherwani.
