Amid the Ram Mandir 'pran prathistha' ceremony, reports are abuzz that Mukesh Ambani donated 33 kg of gold for Lord Ram's idol in Ayodhya. Here's what we know!
The Ayodhya Ram Mandir witnessed a grand consecration ceremony on January 22, 2024. The grand event was organised by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust and drew a crowd of more than 7,000 people. Many VVIPs, including Baba Ramdev, Mukesh Ambani, and Ratan Tata, among others attended the event. Amid the ongoing festivities, a report has surfaced online which claims that Mukesh Ambani and his wife, Nita Ambani, have donated 33 kg of gold to the Ram Mandir.
A report is going viral on social media, which talks about the Ambani family's generosity. The report stated that Mukesh Ambani and his family donated 3 gold crowns made of 33 kg of gold to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. However, the Newschecker website sat for a conversation with an official of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Sanstha about the same and verified if the viral claim was true.

The official confirmed that Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, or any member of their family didn't make such a donation. The official added that no such proposal has been received from Mukesh Ambani or his family yet and that the claims are false. After this fact check, it was confirmed that Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani are not among the people who have made donations towards the Ram Mandir.
On January 22, 2024, Mukesh Ambani arrived at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple with his wife, Nita Ambani. The duo put their best fashion foot forward and wooed everyone with their enchanting presence. Nita looked absolutely gorgeous in a red-hued patola saree paired with a beige stole. She accessorised her look with pearl jewellery, antique pendant and statement earrings. A white handbag, subtle makeup and a bun hairdo completed her look. Mukesh, on the other hand, wore a white kurta-pyjama paired with a brown-hued Nehru coat and a doshala with Sanskrit shlokas printed on it.

The Ambanis reside in their luxurious residence, Antilia, a 27-storeyed building that spans over 1.120 acres. Ahead of Ram Mandir's pran pratishtha ceremony, the entire entryway of Antilia was lit up to mark the auspicious occasion. From massive gateways with Jai Shri Ram banners to a fairy lights-adorned setup, Antilia was lit with red-hued hologram artwork with Jai Shri Ram chants throughout its span. Apart from this, the mansion featured artwork of diyas and several other decorative elements which added stars to it.
