Mukesh Khanna recently took a dig at Kapil Sharma and called him 'uncultured'. He shared two incidents that almost made him 'anti-Kapil'. Mukesh also ended up tagging Kapil's show as 'vulgar'.
Mukesh Khanna is one of the most talented actors in the entertainment world. The actor has been winning hearts with his acting skills over the years. Best known for his screen portrayal as the character of the superman, 'Shaktimaan', Mukesh never shies away from speaking loud about his opinions, and he knows how to call a spade a spade. In a recent interview, Mukesh shared why he had felt Kapil Sharma to be uncultured as well as tagged his show as 'vulgar'.
Mukesh Khanna recently sat for an interview with Bollywood Thikana, wherein he was asked about the reason for not joining the Kapil Sharma Show and Bigg Boss. Sharing the reason, Mukesh added that he thinks these shows to be somewhat vulgar.
The actor said that Kapil is a terrific entertainer and there's no second thought about the same, but there had been two incidents that did not make him 'anti-Kapil', but his vibration couldn't be aligned with the comedian. He also added that he had told Krushna Abhishek that he doesn't feel much comfortable around Kapil, and the latter can't realise it by himself. The actor also said that Kapil is a good person. In Mukesh's words:
"I don’t like Bigg Boss or The Kapil Sharma Show because of the vulgarity, but he (Kapil Sharma) is a terrific entertainer, no doubt. There were two incidents, I won’t say they made me ‘anti-Kapil,’ but my vibrations didn’t match with him. The person might be good, but you don’t feel comfortable with him. I don’t think he even realises it, but I had told Krushna Abhishek."
Mukesh Khanna went on to reveal how he didn't like Kapil Sharma's comedy sketch of 'Shaktimaan', wherein it was seen that the character couldn't be with girls as he was busy else, he would have wooed them. Mukesh revealed that he and other team members worked hard to do proper justice to 'Shaktiman's character, and for the sake of comedy, the way it was portrayed, he didn't like it at all. He also recalled calling Krushna Abhishek after witnessing the skit on Comedy Circus. Mukesh Khanna can be quoted as saying:
"They used to do skits on Comedy Circus, and the mistake Kapil made was that he wore Shaktimaan’s costume, and in front of him was a girl, with a bed shown on the side. I said, ‘What the hell!’ We’ve made this character so righteous, and you’re showing that since he’s busy, he isn’t going to a girl—otherwise, he would be wooing them. You’re doing this just for the sake of comedy. I called Krushna and questioned him about the act. Krushna told me that he was supposed to do this act, but Kapil took it from him."
In the same interview, Mukesh Khanna revealed another incident, for which he couldn't get along well with Kapil Sharma. Mukesh stated that he once graced an event that Kapil also joined, and back in that time, the latter just started his career in the industry. Mukesh added that Kapil sat next to him for 10-20 minutes but didn't greet him for once, and just took his award and left. Mukesh remarked that this was the reason why he called Kapil uncultured. Mukesh can be quoted as saying:
"The second incident happened at an award show. I was sitting in the front row, and Kapil was, I think, just starting in the industry. So, Kapil sat next to me for 10-20 minutes but didn’t greet me once. He just took his award and left. These two things were on my mind. That’s why I said he is uncultured. Why do you think of yourself as being so big? When such a person behaves like this, they lose respect."
Kapil Sharma is back with the second season of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix, which was released on September 21, 2024. The 13-episode of this season would be a blast and would feature famous celebrities. While the fee of Kapil Sharma for season 2 of The Great Indian Kapil Show isn't yet known, Krushna Abhishek told Times Now recently that Netflix had paid them well. Thus, it's their responsibility to do something haatke. Earlier, reports were rife that Kapil was paid Rs. 5 crore per episode on the first season of The Great Indian Kapil Show.
