The titan holds a solid net worth of 9430 crores US Dollars, and his stunning Mumbai residence is priced at the jaw-dropping 4.6 billion US dollars. While the home is packed with all the amenities a man can desire, it is not a surprise that Antilia is also loaded with some mind-blowing, unique technologies.
Mukesh Ambani's 27-floor home in Mumbai, 'Antilia' is one of the most expensive and elaborate homes in the world. The house stands as a testament to the stature of the Ambani family. Built by two of the most prominent names in the architectural and construction world, Perkins & Will and Leighton Asia, the house is not just a perfect residence but also a home with some of the most unique technologies and features.
One such out-of-the-ordinary fact about the estate is that it doesn't have an air conditioning system. But then, how is the home kept cool? According to reports, 'Antilia' does not have a traditional air conditioning system. The AC installed in the estate does not have an outdoor unit. Instead, it uses a centralized air conditioning system, which adheres to the unique aesthetic of the home.
The Ambani house, 'Antilia', has a centralised cooling system. However, unlike other units, the temperature of the house cannot be set or adjusted manually. This is because the temperature is controlled by taking into consideration the surroundings of the house. The marble, flowers, plants, and other elements inside the structure automatically determine the temperature of the insides. According to the reports, in order to maintain the quality and aesthetics of the marble and flowers in the mansion need to be kept at a specific temperature, and the AC auto-adjusts according to various locations inside the house.
'Antilia's' lack of AC stem system was shared by actress and model, Shreya Dhanwantri as well. During her appearance on The Love Laugh Live Show back in 2021, the actress recalled the time she was offered the opportunity to shoot inside the Ambani mansion. The Family Man actress shared a bizarre and surprising incident that she had experienced there. Shreya revealed that she was not aptly dressed for the visit and felt cold. However, when she asked the floor manager if they could increase the temperature. They declined and revealed how the temperature was automatically set, taking into account the temperature required by the plants and flowers. She stated:
"To put it gently, I wasn't dressed very well. They have floor managers, so we went up to the floor manager and asked, 'Can we please raise the temperature a little?' This is what she says: 'Ma'am, we are very sorry, but the flowers and the marble need the temperature to be a certain number.' And I am like, 'Oh, okay then,' and I walk back. This doesn't bother me in the sense that I find it fascinating when I meet people who say and do things and live a certain way that I can't imagine."
