'Salman Khan Is Punjabi At Heart,' And 'Like To Be With Friends' Says 'Judwaa' Co-Star, Mukesh Rishi

Mukesh Rishi recalled his experience working with Salman Khan in the film 'Judwaa' and revealed that the superstar likes being with friends rather than staying alone.

He recently sat down for an interview with Bollywood Bubble and shared his experience working with Superstar, Salman Khan in his iconic film, Judwaa.

Mukesh Rishi says Salman Khan is a punjabi at heart

Mukesh Rishi, who starred in Judwaa as 'Ratanlal Tiger,' worked with Salman Khan in the commercial hit. At that time, Salman Khan had started experiencing stardom and gave several hits around that film. However, that success did not affect his nature. Mukesh shared that Salman Khan did not chill alone in his room but liked staying with friends. The actor shared that Salman Khan is like a Punjabi at heart, as Punjabis are joyful and lively. He was quoted as saying:

"It was my first film with David Dhawan. Salman was a big star then. Salman is not the kind of guy who chills alone. If it's a room or lobby or anywhere, he likes to chill with people. He is completely like a Punjabi in that respect. Staying together, being with friends."

Mukesh earlier revealed how Sohail Khan paid a restaurant bill for his son

Mukesh Rishi has worked with Salman Khan in films like Judwaa, Garv, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, and Bandhan. He spent much time with him over the years and had several conversations. The iconic Bollywood villain gradually developed a friendship with his family as well. In a previous interview with Bollywood Thikana, he described an incident where his son was dinning at a restaurant with his friends, Sohail Khan was there and out of friendship paid the bill. He said:

“Abhi ek din mera beta ek restaurant mein gaya tha apne friends ke saath. Waha Sohail Khan bhi aaye the. Phir baato baato mein pata chal ki wo waha hai. Jaate jaate Sohail saara bill pay kar ke chale gaye. Ye sab dosti se kam thodi hai.”

Mukesh Rishi reveals how he ended up playing a villain in the movies

In his conversation with Bollywood Bubble, the Koi... Mil Gaya actor, described how he became a villain in movies. Mukesh shared that there was no one to guide or tell him to be a hero or villain during his time. Despite good looks and tall height, Mukesh never felt powerful like an on-screen hero. He said he isn't from a filmy background and had no industry friends to guide him back then. He said:

“Agar main filmy background se hota ya filmy logon mein reh raha hoga toh shayad koi mujhe iss tarah kehta jis Tarah ek lambe aadmi ko kehte hai. Par mujhe kisika prabhav nahi tha kyuki mere filmy dost toh hi nahi but jo ho raha tha main usko mehsoos kar raha tha.“
