Another highlight of Munawar's game inside the show was his camaraderie with Mannara Chopra, and how she was head-over-heels in awe of him, which everyone noticed. Recently, Munawar took a dig at Mannara for calling herself 'BB winner in the female category'.
Recently, a video of Munawar was posted on a paparazzo's IG page, wherein he was seen taking a dig at Mannara Chopra. The BB 17 winner shared that Aoora was the winner in the NRI category. He didn't stop there, he further added that Navid Sole was runner-up in the NRI category. Munawr also stated that Ankita Lokhande was a winner in the wife category, while Vicky Jain was a winner in the husband category. He was quoted as saying:
Bigg Boss main Aoora ko jante ho vo winner the NRI category mein. Aur Navid runner up NRI mein. Ankita wife category mein winner thi. Husband category mein Vicky bhai."

For the unversed, after coming out of the show, Mannara Chopra instantly changed her IG bio. She mentioned in her bio that she was Bigg Boss 17's second runner-up and winner in the female category. However, she quickly changed it, but the eagle-eyed netizens were quick to take a screenshot of the same, and it went viral on the internet.
During an interview with The Times Of India, Mannara expressed her bond with Munawar Faruqui and called him 'family'. While people thought Mannara was falling for Munawar, the actress stated that for her, he is like a true friend, and he helped her throughout her stay inside the show. However, Mannara was left shocked after getting to know that Munawar commented that he felt uncomfortable with her after she kissed him during an episode.
Expressing her discomfort, Mannara demanded a public apology if Munawar had passed such a weird comment to her. She also added that she didn't know in what context he had said it. Mannara was quoted as saying:
"Oh my god! It's a weird statement. There's no footage like this. I don't know in what context he said that, but if he has, he needs to apologise to me publically."
