Naga Chaitanya is setting the standard quite high as he flew all the way to Mumbai just to spend a few hours with his lady love, Sobhita Dhulipala and ate lunch with her.
Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya embarked on their lifelong journey by solemnising their union in a traditional ceremony on December 4, 2024. The couple, who had carefully guarded their relationship from the public eye, chose to make their commitment official after a private ring exchange on August 8, 2024. Naga Chaitanya recently revealed a touching detail about their relationship, sharing how he flew to Mumbai just to spend a few precious hours with Sobhita.
In an interview with The New York Times, Naga opened up about his dating phase with Sobhita. He revealed that the duo first started talking via Instagram. He later made the move to have a lunch date with her in Mumbai. As Sobhita was living in Mumbai for the majority of the time, he took an hour-long flight to the city of dreams just to have lunch with his ladylove. The report read as:
“Throughout their relationship, Ms Dhulipala has lived in Mumbai and Mr Akkineni in Hyderabad. A couple of weeks after they started talking on Instagram, he took an hourlong flight just for a lunch date with her at Pali Village cafe.”
Chaitanya shared that he is not very fond of texting or communicating on social media. So he decided to have a heart-to-heart conversation with Sobhita. In Chaitanya's words:
“I'm not a big fan of texting. I'm not a fan of communicating on social media.”
In the same interview, Naga Chaitanya shared about his and Sobhita's intimate wedding and love story. The couple first met at Nagarjuna's house briefly in 2018. Moreover, their conversation began in April 2022, a year after Chaitanya's first marriage with Samantha Ruth Prabhu ended.
Talking about how they first time bonded with one another, the actress revealed that she started following Naga Chaitanya back in April 2022, and the very next day, she replied to one of his IG stories, which was about a sushi dish. Apart from food, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala bonded over their language, Telugu. While he liked that Sobhita was well versed with her words, the actress was in awe of the fact that the actor kept liking her IG stories. Chaitanya added that he wanted the actress to keep talking in Telugu. In Chaitanya's words:
"So when something pops up that’s very organic and real about a person, I immediately gravitate to that kind of content.”
