Once in an interview, Nagarjuna Akkineni's son, Naga Chaitanya, opened up about his equation with his dad's alleged girlfriend, Tabu. Here's what he said!
Popular actress, Tabu is one of the popular stars in the Indian film industry. Over the years, she has managed to keep her personal life private and completely under wraps. Tabu is happily single in her 50s, and she still manages to mesmerise us with her gorgeous looks. However, she was also popular for her dating rumours and link-up reports in the film industry back in the time. Among the many actors, Tabu's relationship with Nagarjuna Akkineni was the most popular.
For the unversed, Nagarjuna Akkineni was in a relationship with Tabu while he was already married to Amala Paul. Moreover, he also had a son, Naga Chaitanya, from his previous marriage with his first wife, Lakshmi Daggubati. In one of the interviews, Naga Chaitanya was asked to spill the beans about his equation with Bollywood celebrities, and he took Tabu's name, citing that he shares a good bonding with her. He was reportedly quoted as saying:
"Bonded? Not much. Of course, maximum bonding is with Aamir sir. Tabu, a lot of bonding with her."

Tabu was allegedly dating South actor, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and the two worked together in Telugu films like Aavida Maa Aavide, Ninne Pelladata and Sisindri. The rumours about their relationship swirled around for more than a decade and became a hot topic of discussion back in those days. While the rumours made headlines in the 2000s, Tabu reportedly was in love with Nagarjuna for 10 years and lived together with him but never tied the knot.
In an old interview with The Times Of India, Nagarjuna opened up about his relationship with Tabu and shared that she will always remain a beautiful person for him. Talking about the same, he added that his face lights up whenever somebody takes her name and mentioned that he has nothing to hide. Nagarjuna had stated:
"Yes, Tabu is a fantastic friend of mine. Our friendship goes way back, since I was 21 or 22 and she was just 16 years old. That's like almost half a lifetime... About our friendship, whatever said is less. I have nothing to hide about her. When you mention her name, my face lights up... (laughs). it is simple as that. Now, when I say things like that, if you want to read into it, then it's your point of view... To me, she is a beautiful person, and a beautiful friend. She always will be."

In an interview with The Times Of India, Nagarjuna's wife, Amala also opened up about her husband's alleged affair with actress, Tabu. She said that her house is sacred, like a temple, and she does not allow anything unpleasant from the film industry to contaminate her house. Revealing that she and Nagarjuna never discussed the same, the doting wifey had said:
“Nothing will shake this belief. Nobody should bother what happens under my roof. I am happy. And before you ask whether my husband and I have discussed this – never. My home is sacred, like a temple and I don’t allow anything unpleasant from the film industry to come in, especially filthy gossip. I don’t encourage such talks. I feel it will contaminate my house.”
