Naga Chaitanya rarely talked about his family dynamics in the media. But there was a time when he publically thanked his mother, Lashmi Daggubati.
Naga Chaitanya gave love a second chance when he decided to get married to Sobhita Dhulipala in a grand wedding ceremony. Amidst it, all eyes are on the Akkineni family, and especially on Nagarjuna's first wife, Lakshmi Daggubati. For those who don't know, Naga Chaitanya is the son of Nagarjuna and his first wife, Lakshmi Daggubati. However, Naga Chaitanya doesn't stay with his mother, Lakshmi. Despite this, he shares a special bond with her.
It was in 2022, when Naga Chaitanya penned a special note for his mother. He share few unseen photos with her mother, Lakshmi and her father, Nagarjuna and his dog, who he was pet parenting with his first wife, Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Sharing a childhood photo with his mother, Lakshmi, Chay thanked her, expressed gratitude for her contribution to his life and called her his 'core'. He wrote:
"Thank you – A word I use often but not often enough where it matters the most. My next release #thankyouthemovie reflects this thought… something that has moved me through the journey of the film. I’m dedicating this post to some of the people who matter the most to me .. saying thank you to them is never enough… Let’s come together on this one! Amma – for being my core, rooting me from time to time and being unconditional in every way possible."
Not only this, Naga Chaitanya also posted a photo with his father, Nagarjuna from the playground and expressed his heartfelt thanks for showing him the direction in life and being his friend. In the last, Chay thanked his furry baby, Hash, for making him feel and showing him how to feel love. He wrote:
"Nana – for showing me a direction and being my friend that no other friend can be. Hash – for making me feel, showing me how to love and just keeping me human!"
For those who don't know, Lakshmi tied the knot with Nagarjuna in 1984, and the couple welcomed their first child, Naga Chaitanya on November 23, 1986. However, it was in 1990, they parted ways due to unknown reasons. Later, in 1992, Nagarjuna married Amala Mukherjee. The couple have a son named Akhil Akkineni.
On the other hand, Lakshmi also started her new life. She got married to a businessman, Sharath Vijayaraghavan and moved to the USA. She started her own business, Lakshmi Interiors, and lives a life away from the media glares.
