Naga Chaitanya talked about his estranged wife, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and shared if he would ever work with her again. Read on!
Some love stories don't have a happy ending, and it stood true for the ‘IT’ couple of South India, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The two had met on the sets of Samantha’s debut film, Ye Maaya Chesave, where Naga played the lead opposite her. However, it was in 2014, when the soulmates had signed another film, Autonagar Surya when they had fallen head over heels in love with each other. After dating for a few years, Naga and Samantha had tied the knot in a two-day destination wedding in Goa on October 6, 2017.
Reportedly, the then-couple had spent Rs.10 crores on their lavish wedding, which took place as per Hindu and Christian rituals. However, a few months before their fourth wedding anniversary on October 2, 2021, Samantha and Naga had shocked their fans by announcing their mutual separation. Now, the actor revealed if he would ever work with his ex-wife, Samantha again.

In a recent conversation with RJ Siddharth Kanan, Naga Chaitanya was asked if he would ever work with his ex-wife, Samantha Ruth Prabhu again. Answering this, the actor said that if this pairing ever happens, it would be crazy. In his words:
“That’s going to be a crazy one if it happens. But I don’t know, only the universe knows. Let’s see.”
Earlier, in an interview with the ETimes, Naga Chaitanya had expressed his irritation about his personal life being the topic of discussion. The actor revealed that he and Samantha had moved on in their respective lives and didn't feel like informing the world. He had stated:
“I don’t want my personal life to be the topic of discussion. We all have a personal space and there’s a reason why it’s called ‘personal’. Things that I feel are crucial to be shared and put out, I do inform the media about it, whether it’s good or bad. I come out, tell the people about it through a statement and that’s it. In our case, Samantha has moved on, I’ve moved on and I don’t feel the need to inform the world about it, more than that.”

In Koffee With Karan 7’s third episode, Samantha Ruth Prabhu had graced the show with the superstar, Akshay Kumar. During the conversation, Samantha had talked about her ex-husband, Chaitanya. When Karan asked Samantha whether the two of them have hard feelings for each other, the actress confessed it. She had shared that they can't be in one room without hurting each other. She had said:
“Like if you put us both in a room, you have to hide sharp objects? Yeah. As of now, yes,” she said. When asked how she was doing now, she answered, “It has been hard but it’s good now. It’s fine. I am stronger than I have ever been.”
