Nagarjuna revealed how Naga Chaitanya was left depressed after his separation from Naga Chaitanya. Read on to know more!
Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu got married in 2017, after dating for a couple of years. While Samantha was outspoken and fun-loving, Chaitanya was reserved and kept to himself, but together they completed each other. After a couple of years together, they parted ways in 2021, and it wasn't a pleasant one. However, just before Naga Chaitanya's wedding with Sobhita, his father, Nagarjuna, revealed the condition of his son after his divorce.
Talking about Chay finding love again, Nagarjuna happily chimed that his son is happy again. He revealed that Chaitanya's divorce with Samantha wasn't an easy one for him their entire family. The separation left Naga Chaitanya depressed, and while he did his best not to tell his feelings, he knew he was unhappy. Nagarjuna told Times Now:
"Chay has found happiness again. He is very happy. So am I! It has not been an easy time for Chay or the family. The separation from Samantha left him very depressed. My boy doesn’t show his feelings to anyone. But I knew he was unhappy."
Nagarjuna revealed that he was able to see Chay smile again with Sobhita was simply wonderful. Nagarjuna was asked about his relationship with his ex-daughter-in-law, Samantha and whether it has changed after their divorce. He said:
"That remains unaltered. What happens between a couple is an entirely different matter."
After three years of separation, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha still meet people who are hungry to know what went wrong in their marriage. The actor talked about the same and shared that they had moved on in their respective lives with a lot of respect for each other. The actor also talked about his own parents' divorce and how he know the difficulties and pain that comes with it, so he had thought about his separation 1000 times before ending it. Naga Chaitanya in Raw Talks With Vk, said:
"It was for the betterment of whoever was involved in the marriage... Whatever the decision was, it was a very conscious decision after much thought and with a lot of respect for the other person. I'm saying this because it's a very sensitive topic for me. I come from a broken family. I'm a child from a broken family so I know what the experience is like. I will think 1000 times before breaking a relationship because I know the repercussions... It was a mutual decision."
Not only this, Chaitanya also talked about moving on in life and dropped hints at Samantha doing the same as well. It seems like he broke his silence about Samantha's relationship. The statement came amid Samantha's love affair with Citadel: Honey Bunny director, Raj Nidimoru. The pan-India actor stated that he had moved on with utmost grace, and so has Samantha.
