After Telangana minister, Konda Surekha made shocking claims about Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's divorce, Nagarjuna's wife, Amala, strongly condemned the minister.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce once again hit the headlines after Telangana minister, Konda Surekha made shocking allegations about it. The minister accused Bharat Rashtra Samithi leader, KT Rama Rao of Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's divorce. Post her statements, the Telangana minister is bearing the brunt of her statements as celebs are calling her out for her claims.
Now, Nagarjuna’s wife and Samantha’s ex-mother-in-law, Amala Akkineni, took to social media and strongly reacted to the Telangana minister’s claims and penned:
“Shocked to hear a woman minister turn into a demon, conjuring evil fictions allegations, preying on decent citizens as fuel for a political war. Madam Minister, do you rely and believe people with no decency to feed you utterly scandalous stories about my husband without an iota of shame or truth? This is really shameful. If leaders lower themselves into the gutter and behave like criminals, what will happen to our country?”
As soon as Amala penned her shock and disbelief on the issue, her son and Chaitanya’s brother, Akhil Akkineni, came out in support of his mother and wrote:
“My dear mother, I support every word you have said, and I am with you and the family... I’m sorry that you have to address this demonic nonsense, but we have no choice sometimes but to deal with such sociopaths.”
For the unversed, minister, Konda Surekha claimed that BRS president KTR Rama Rao's interference in the Akkineni family led to Samantha and Chaitanya’s divorce. Surekha claimed that KTR demanded that Samantha be sent to him in exchange to stop demolishing Nagarjuna’s N-convention centre. When Samantha refused, it led to her split with Naga Chaitanya. Surekha quoted to the Deccan Herald:
“KTR asked to send Samantha in return for not demolishing the N-convention centre. Nagarjuna forced Samantha to go to KTR, but she said no. That led to divorce.”
On the other hand, Samantha Ruth Prabhu reacted to Surekha’s claims and requested the minister respect an individual's privacy. In an official statement, Samantha stated that her divorce from Naga Chaitanya was a private thing, so one should not spread misconceptions. The actress further added that her divorce from Naga Chaitanya was done through mutual consent, and no political influence was behind it.
For the unversed, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya parted ways in 2021.
