Nancy Tyagi was accused of ghosting small brands by buying their products and not giving credit to them.
The fashion influencer, Nancy Tyagi surprised everyone when she walked down the Cannes Film Festival's red carpet in a self-made outfit. Another thing that became the talking point at that time was that Nancy gave all her interviews in Hindi. The 23-year-old also garnered a lot of attention when she spoke about her humble beginning and journey.
However, Nancy has recently hit the headlines for exploiting small brands. Yes, you read that right. A viral Reddit post claimed that the influencer exploits small brands and has been warned multiple times to improve her behaviour. The post also highlights how Nancy engages in barter collaborations with small brands in exchange of posting about them in her stories.
However, not only does she fail to do the same, but when confronted, the influencer returns the product in terrible condition. As per the Reddit post, the influencer has reportedly ghosted 30-40 small businesses until now. After the post was shared, netizens reacted to the post.

Not just this, in August 2024, Spill Bee posted a video on their IG handle in which they shared how Nancy exploited a jewellery brand, embelisha. The influencer agreed to do a PR story of their product, but as soon as she got the parcel, Nancy refused to put the story and asked the brand to take back their product. And when the brand got back the product, it was a mess.

A few months back, a few screengrabs were shared on the discussion platform, Reddit, which featured Nancy Tyagi's DM in the background. What was noteworthy was that a user claimed in the comment section of that screengrab that Nancy often messages several brands and asks them to collaborate. Later, she either does not use their stuff, or if she does, the influencer does not tag or give credit to those brands. The brand also shared a detail that Nancy received a choker from them, and the brand's officials have been texting her to tag them, but she is not replying.
Nancy Tyagi is a 23-year-old fashion influencer born in the Baranwa village of Uttar Pradesh. In 2020, she moved to New Delhi to study for UPSC exams. However, the world was hit with lockdown, which allowed Nancy to listen to her heart's calling. The financial difficulties gave Nancy the idea to create fashion from scratch. While she didn't receive instant success, she kept working hard and posted videos of her self-stitched outfits for 1.5 years.
