Yes, do not need to step out and go to the market to search for the best cleansing, toning and moisturising products. You just need to step in to your kitchen. Here are some homemade natural cleansers, toners and moisturisers with ingredients that are easily available at home.

#1. Cleansers

Cleansing the skin is the first step to see a resplendent glow on it. Start the ritual by cleansing your face, so that you can remove excess oil, dust and pollution that block the skin pores.

a) Honey

Raw honey is amazing for cleansing your skin naturally as well as keeping it hydrated and smooth. Mix half a teaspoon of honey with water and thin it out. Apply this directly on the face and wash with warm water after 15-20 minutes. This is a gentle cleanser that reduces oil secretion and breakouts. Those with oily skin can mix lemon juice with it while dry skin if you add milk with honey.

b) Baking Soda, Jojoba Oil and Essential Oil

Make a quick facial cleanser by taking baking soda and jojoba oil, and combining it with any other essential oil. Different essential oils have different benefits, such as chamomile is good as anti-inflammatory while tea tree oil helps fighting acne. Lavender and eucalyptus oils are known for their antibacterial properties.

To clean your face, take a little of the baking soda, a few drops of jojoba oil, and a little bit of the other essential oil. You can also add a dollop of pure honey to the mix. Now, massage this on your damp face, and wash it off with warm water after a few minutes. This multi-purpose cleanser will improve complexion, reduce acne and blemishes and give you clear skin.

Cleansing and toning go hand in hand. These are used to tighten the pores to reduce their visibility.

a) Apple Cider Vinegar and Aloe Vera

A quick toner can be made by combining half a cup of liquid aloe vera with about two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. Spray this onto a cotton pad and apply to clean face. This toner will help to clean and tighten your skin pores, as well as keep acne at bay. This is also a great natural makeup remover as well.

b) Rose water

Known for its benefits as skin astringent, you can apply rose water directly onto the face with a cotton pad. Rose water need not be rinsed off. Rose water also keeps your face oil free, smooth and glowing.

c) Vegetable and Fruit Juices

Some fruits and vegetables, such as cucumber and strawberry, act as natural astringents and can be applied directly to the face.

To hydrate the skin and keep it looking fresh, ending the skin cleaning process with a moisturiser is a must.

a) Avocados

This yummy fruit is the storehouse of many amazing nutrients, proteins and vitamins, which will replenish your skin and keep it smooth. Mash one ripe avocado and apply its paste on your face, to enjoy its skin moisturising benefits. Just rinse it off after 15 minutes to reveal soft, hydrated and glowing skin.

b) Glycerine/Milk Cream

Commercial products also usually contain glycerine, as it helps to keep the skin soft. So, apply this directly to the face and rinse off. You can add some rose water in it as well. If you have dry skin, you could also rub milk cream on the face and rinse off for a moisturised face. It should be noted that cream can make oily skin very greasy.

c) Orange Juice, Lemon Juice and Yoghurt

Take a tablespoon each of orange juice and lemon juice, and add it to a cup of yoghurt. Now, mix this well, and apply it on your face. After 15 minutes, clean it off with lukewarm water to reveal soft and glowing skin. You can also add mashed strawberries to the mix, instead of orange juice to experience an instant splash of moisture.
