Nawazuddin Siddiqui worked with Shah Rukh Khan in the film, 'Raees' in 2017. In a recent interview, he shared how their sleep schedules differed and his experience of working with the superstar.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is one of the most critically acclaimed actors in Bollywood. He has worked in various films, playing versatile roles and proving his mettle as an actor. He began his career by playing minor roles in movies and has found success with his talent. Nawazuddin is one of the few actors who got to work with all the three 'Khans' of Bollywood. He recently sat down for an interview with Zoom and opened up about his experience working with SRK in Raees.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the character of 'IPS Majmudar' in the film Raees, co-starring SRK. The Kick actor had earlier revealed that working with 'Khans' was always fun and that he bonded well with them. Now, he admitted that while working with SRK, they used to shoot at night and was quoted as saying:
"Raat ke time mei shooting hua tha. 2-3 baje tak jo SRK sir jaagte hai, mei sota hu. Unke aankhein bilkul aise' aa' (trying to emote how SRK looked)."

Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared that it was often a smooth process of rehearsing with SRK. They used to do a lot of rehearsals, and when the team thought a specific scene should be redone, they shot again. He added that Shah Rukh Khan used to converse with him whenever they got time. In his words:
"Bahut pyaar se iska rehearsal ki, aur fir baithke jab time mila tha, tab baatein bhi karte the humlog.
For the unversed, SRK and Nawazuddin have worked together on two films. They worked in 2000's Hey Ram and 2017's Raees. While promoting Raees, Shah Rukh Khan often praised his co-star, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and his acting ability. SRK fondly said that Nawazuddin is a bigger actor than him. He added that even Nawazuddin doesn’t know how special he is. He was quoted as saying:
"I can say this only because I have been working as an actor for 25 years. I am his senior in that regard. But when it comes to acting, I am not his senior at all. He works so differently than all of us. And when actors like me stand in front of him, we feel inspired."

On the film front, Nawazuddin was last seen in Haddi. It is streaming on Zee5. Next, he will feature in the crime thriller, Rautu Ka Raaz, co-starring Atul Tiwari, Rajesh Kumar, and Narayani Shastri. It will be released on June 28, 2024.
