Nayanthara and her husband, Vignesh Shivan hide the faces of their twins, Uyir and Ulagam at Mumbai airport.
Nayanthara, who is known as the lady superstar of the South Indian film industry, is all set to foray into Bollywood with her upcoming film, Jawan, starring Shah Rukh Khan. Nayanthara was in Mumbai to complete a 9-day long schedule of Jawan, and now the actress left for Chennai along with her husband, Vignesh and their twins, Uyir and Ulagam.
On March 8, 2023, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan were papped at the Mumbai airport along with their twin baby boys, Uyir and Ulagam. As she made her way to the airport, the actress and her director husband were seen hiding the faces of their twins with their hands. The baby boys looked cute in a black T-shirt and checkered dungaree while sleeping on their parent’s shoulders.

For the unversed, it was on June 9, 2022, when the lady superstar of the South Indian film industry, Nayanthara and director, Vignesh Shivan tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Mahabalipuram as per South Indian rituals. Four months post their wedding, the couple surprised their fans when they announced the arrival of their twins.
Vignesh Shivan had taken to his Twitter handle and announced that he and his darling wife, Nayanthara were blessed with twin boys via surrogacy. In the pictures, the duo was seen kissing and giving a peck of love to their newborns' tiny feet. Along with it, Vignesh also revealed the names of his baby boys as Uyir and Ulagam.

However, the birth of Nayanthara and Vignesh's babies landed the couple in legal trouble, as the Tamil Nadu government had ordered an inquiry into the matter. The legality of the process of surrogacy was questioned.
But a few days post the legal notice, the Tamil Nadu government issued a clarification stating that Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan had not transgressed any laws governing surrogacy in India. The statement stated that a three-member panel appointed by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Tamil Nadu found that the couple had started the surrogacy procedure after getting a recommendation from their family doctor in 2020.
For the past months, there have been reports that Nayanthara will quit acting post the release of Jawan. The report also stated that even though Nayanthara will step down from acting, she will continue to manage the affairs of the production house along with her husband, Vignesh Shivan. While there has been no official confirmation of the news, however, the rumours have surely disappointed her massive fan base.
