Neena Gupta reveals tidbits about her recently-born granddaughter days after dropping a picture with her. One tidbit had to do with who the baby looks like, and it turns out it's dad, Satyadeep Misra.
Masaba Gupta has many titles to her name, including designer, entrepreneur, and actor. Well, she just added another big one to her list: mommy to a tiny tot. Yes, Masaba and her husband, Satyadeep Misra, who got hitched in 2023, are officially parents to a beautiful baby girl. They welcomed their little princess on October 11, 2024. And proud grandmother, Neena Gupta can’t stop gushing.
Since her adorable little granddaughter joined their family, Neena Gupta has been over the moon. And recently, she dropped some tidbits about the baby girl that have made fans even more eager for a glimpse of her. In an interview with India Today, the new grandmother revealed that her grandchild resembles her daddy, Satyadeep.
Neena was then asked about the one quality she wished her grandchild would adopt from each of her parents. Revealing the best traits of Masaba and Satyadeep, she said:
“Sattu is absolute zen, he is so calm and tranquil. He is just amazing. On the other hand, Masaba is fierce. I really want their daughter to have a balanced personality, with some elements borrowed from the both of them.”
In the same interview, Neena was asked whether becoming a grandmother had been an emotional journey. She was also prompted to reveal what it had felt like to hold her granddaughter for the first time. Confessing that she was yet to realise how much things had changed, she said:
“Koi feeling nahi hai, abhi sirf responsibility hai. All we want is for Masaba to also get enough rest. I am there to ensure she gets her four-hour naps regularly. Everyone is involved in that right now, so it hasn't really seeped in.”
Adorably, even though Neena feels a growing sense of responsibility, her daughter, Masaba wants her to take it easy. Speaking with ETimes, the new mommy said that grandma Neena had her own life, so she didn’t want to burden her with baby duties.
Grandma Neena is clearly in awe of her darling princess, as she dropped an adorable picture only a few days after she was born. While the baby’s face wasn’t revealed, it didn’t stop fans from going gaga in the comments while congratulating the new nani. In the picture that was uploaded to Instagram, Neena snuggled the baby girl with her eyes closed. She held her granddaughter close to her heart and wrote in the caption:
“Meri beti ki beti - Rab rakha.”
On the work front, Neena recently got to celebrate a huge win. The gorgeous and talented actress was awarded ‘Best Actor in a Supporting Role’ for her jaw-dropping performance in Uunchai. Also, her latest film, a psychological thriller named 1000 Babies was released today, on October 18, 2024.
