Neeru Randhawa broke her silence on the Bombay High Court's recent verdict against her ex-beau, Armaan Kohli over her impending harassment case.
Bigg Boss 7 fame, Armaan Kohli and his long-time ex-girlfriend, Neeru Randhawa’s infamous harassment case is almost known to everyone. For the unversed, the duo had been in a steady relationship for a long time until in June 2018, when Neeru filed a police complaint against Armaan to the Mumbai Police on the grounds of being physically assaulted and harassed, that even led to a severe head injury. A few days back, the Bombay High Court, after days of waiting issued a final verdict against Armaan, and ordered him to pay a hefty penalty of Rs. 50 Lakhs to Neeru.
In an interaction with ETimes, Neeru Randhawa opened up on the recent verdict announced by the Bombay High Court against her ex-boyfriend, Armaan Kohli over her harassment and physical assault case. The recent verdict had demanded the actor to immediately pay Neeru the remaining sum of Rs. 50 Lakhs of fine by July 18, 2023. The court also issued a warning against Armaan’s failure to pay the fine, as a result of which he may be immediately arrested. And now, amidst the recent developments in the case, Neeru Randhawa spoke about the same and mentioned:
“The case has been going on since 2018, and I understand that the legal proceedings take a while. I am glad the truth prevailed and that the verdict has come in my favour. The court ordered Armaan to clear the remaining payment by today or he will be jailed.”

As per the initial case lodged in 2018, Armaan Kohli was arrested by the Mumbai Police on the grounds of physically hitting Neeru. While later Neeru withdrew her complaint and opted for mutual settlement, it was at that time when the court had ordered the actor to pay her one crore as settlement. While back then, Armaan had cleared Rs. 50 lakhs immediately, the remaining half of the fine was paid by him in cheques, which eventually bounced. And so, Neeru had to demand the court to resurrect the case once again and offer her justice. Speaking on the same, Neeru mentioned:
“Since I am a British citizen, and was shuttling between London and India, it wasn’t practical for me to keep coming here for the case. That was why I withdrew the case along with the fact that Armaan’s family pleaded with me to forgive their son. I even got an apology letter from him, which was recorded in the High Court. The amount that was agreed upon was a crore. The post-dated cheques amounting to Rs 50 lakhs given to me, bounced so I had no choice but to seek legal recourse.”
In the same interview, Neeru Randhawa opened up on what her learnings and experiences have been due to her ill-omened relationship with Armaan Kohli. For the unversed, the duo met in Dubai in 2015 through common friends, and Armaan had even helped her in getting work in the Salman Khan starrer film, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. And now, she spoke about how such an ill-fortuned relationship taught her how she could not change anyone in her life, and so it made her realise the need to love herself more than anybody else.
