On what could have been their 42nd anniversary, Neetu Kapoor shared pictures with her late husband, Rishi Kapoor from the time they had visited 'The Kapil Sharma Show'.
Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor’s journey of togetherness might have ended in 2020, but their love is purely eternal. Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor had fought all the odds to get married in 1980. Even during their Mr and Mrs Kapoor journey, they had faced many ups and downs, but they had sailed through the storms holding each other’s hands till Rishi Kapoor had breathed his last. On Simi Garewal’s show, Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, Neetu Kapoor had shared that her love story with Rishi Kapoor was more romantic than Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
On January 22, 2021, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor would have completed 41 years of their married life. To mark what would have been their 41st wedding anniversary, Neetu Kapoor had posted a video, comprising of their beautiful memories off-screen and on-screen. The video had the song, Hum Hain Is Pal Yahan from the film, Kisna: The Warrior Poet playing in the background and with a heartbroken emoji, Mrs Kapoor had captioned the post as:
“Justtt. Would have been our 41 years today.”

A while back, taking to her IG handle, Neetu Kapoor marked her could be 42nd anniversary with her late husband, Rishi Kapoor. She shared two happy pictures with her late husband from the time they had visited The Kapil Sharma Show. While in the first picture, they were seen laughing as Neetu had held Rishi’s hand, in the second picture, it looked like the late actor was explaining something and Neetu was stopping him from doing so. With a red heart emoticon, she captioned their anniversary post as:
“In remembrance…”
Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor’s close friend, Pinkie Roshan had posted a throwback picture of the couple from their wedding reception on their 41st anniversary. Pinkie had captioned her post as:
“#this day 22 January you tied the sacred knot of marriage with @neetu54 #we know you are always with her around her wishing her holding her hand #you married a BRAVEHEART #love you neetu dearly#miss you bhaiya fondly.”

To mark this special day, let us take you back to 1980 when Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh had taken their wedding vows. We had got hold of some black-and-white pictures of Neetu from her chooda ceremony and her wedding day, and we couldn't help but drool over how beautiful she was looking like a bride! In the picture from her wedding day, we could also spot a young Karisma Kapoor and Sonali Bendre’s husband, Goldie Behl. For the chooda ceremony, Neetu could be seen surrounded by her friends, including Rekha, helping the then-bride-to-be with the ritual.
On the radio show, Suhaana Safar with Annu Kapoor hosted by Annu Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor had recalled the initial days of her meeting with Rishi Kapoor. She had stated:
“I had a horrible first meeting with Rishi Kapoor. He had a habit of bullying, so he would comment on my make-up and clothes, and I'd feel so angry. He was actually a brat who would bully everyone and I was very young at that time. I used to be furious with him.”
Some love stories are eternal, and late Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor’s is one of them!
