The duo talked about their personal and professional lives and recalled leaving the glitz and glamour for their families. Sharing that she had no regrets at all, Neetu revealed that she was happy and ready to take a step back from the industry to embrace motherhood and manage her household. She also talked about leaving Bollywood at the mere age of 20-21 and said:
“I started working when I was 5. When Do Kaliyaan came, I was so loved by everyone. I had already seen fame very early in my career, so after that working became a job for me, it was nothing that I looked forward to. From age 5 to 21 I have worked a lot, I did around 70-80 movies.”

Neetu Kapoor further shed light on taking a break from acting after embracing motherhood. She mentioned that she had worked for 15 years and was tired, so when her kids were born, she wanted to dedicate her time to them. Moreover, Neetu shared that her husband, the late Rishi Kapoor, was very possessive, and he wanted her to be around him all the time. She further added:
“I had worked for 15 years, so you get tired. My kids were born, and I just wanted to dedicate myself to my children and my house, and my husband was very possessive. He wanted me all the time to just be around and be there. So that’s the way my life was, and I was very happy. I had such a lovely household, everybody was so full of love, and my mother-in-law was one of the best human beings ever. My father-in-law was so wonderful, we were like one happy Punjabi family, and we had so much fun. My best years were when I stayed in Chembur at Deonar Cottage.”
Neetu Kapoor also shared a surprising detail about her late husband, Rishi Kapoor while revisiting the days when they were dating. Neetu told Karan that Rishi was a strict boyfriend and did not allow her to party hard. She recalled how he imposed several restrictions on her when she used to have late-night parties while shooting with Yash Chopra. In Neetu's words:
“With Yashji (Yash Chopra), we would have a lot of fun, we would have parties, but I had this Rishi Kapoor as my boyfriend, so I never partied-partied. It was always like don’t do this, don’t do that, come home, so I never saw the wild side of partying in those days. I was committed, and I had a very strict mother and a very strict boyfriend. So I was torn between both of them.”

Without mincing her words, the actress quipped, “Nothing.” However, she further explained the reason behind the same and said that in today’s age, one should do what they want and just be happy. In her words:
“Because aajkal k zamaaney me jo karna hai karo, bas khush raho. And also, every generation is different. What I went through, I can’t expect them to do the same thing. So, they know their own vibe.”
