Neetu Kapoor Shares A Video Of Rishi Kapoor, Singing On Their Last NYC Trip, On His 11th Prayer Meet

Prior to his demise in 2020, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor were in New York for his treatment and to mark his 11th prayer meet, she posted a priceless memory from their last NYC trip.

"End of our story." – Not a long note but just these four words had spoken volumes about Neetu Kapoor’s feelings on her husband, Rishi Kapoor’s demise. In her emotional farewell post, Neetu ji had posted a perfect picture of Rishi ji, holding a drink in his hand and flashing his brightest smile. But it was the caption that had left everyone teary-eyed. Neetu Kapoor had once said that romance is much more than romantic candlelight dinners and going on dates. For her and her husband, the romance was more about togetherness and nurturing their children together. And that she felt had made her love story with Rishi Kapoor more romantic than Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer film, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. In January 2021, Neetu Kapoor had posted a clip of her first dance with Rishi Kapoor. She had captioned the video as “Our first dance” with a lovestruck and a smiling face with three hearts emoji.

In the video, Rishi ji was happily crooning the song, Jaanejaan Aa Aa Aah, as the couple enjoyed the view of NYC with the Brooklyn Bridge lit up in the backdrop and it will surely make you emotional. Neetu ji captioned the video as "Since today is Rishiji’s 11 month prayer meet felt like sharing some moments from our last trip to NYC." Riddhima Kapoor Sahni posted a family picture with her parents, brother, Ranbir Kapoor and daughter, Samara Sahni. She captioned it as “Your love will light our way- Your memory will forever be with us! Always in our hearts.”

On September 3, 2020, it was Rishi Kapoor’s 68th birth anniversary and to mark the special day, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni had penned an emotional note. Sharing throwback pictures with her father, Rishi Kapoor, Riddhima had written about how heart badly breaks when we lose someone without whom we cannot live. After Rishi Kapoor’s demise, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Ranbir Kapoor are trying to fill his void in their mother, Neetu Kapoor’s life. To mark what would have been her 41st wedding anniversary with Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor had posted a video on January 22, 2021, comprising of their beautiful memories off-screen and on-screen. The video had the song, Hum Hain Is Pal Yahan from the film, Kisna: The Warrior Poet playing in the background and Mrs Kapoor had captioned the post as “Justtt. Would have been our 41 years today”, followed by a heartbroken emoji.

At the age of 18, Rishi Kapoor had made his acting debut in the Hindi film industry with Mera Naam Joker, directed and produced by his father, Raj Kapoor. December 18, 2020, had not only marked the completion of 50 years of the film, Mera Naam Joker, but also Rishi Kapoor’s five decades in the industry. Neetu Kapoor had posted a collage of late Rishi Kapoor’s four pictures, which marked his journey over the years.
