Speaking about coping up with the breakup and labelling it as the ‘worst phase of her life’, Neha Kakkar stated, “That phase of my life was very difficult. Yes, I was into depression and it was difficult for me to cope up with it. It was the worst phase; however I have come out of it now. Right now, all I can say is that being single is the best feeling of my life. You know what, when I was in a relationship, I was not being able to give time to my family and my friends. At that time, I dedicated all my time and energy to that person who does not deserve it. I missed so many beautiful moments with my family members, especially with my siblings. And guess what; in spite of giving him so much time; he always complained of not being together.”

The Aankh Maare singer continued, “Thankfully, I have moved on from this bad relationship. I am really in a happy space now. I have realised that my family is more deserving than anybody else in my life. I am happy with whatever happened because that made me realise the importance of my family members. (smiles)” Neha also shared that she is not open to love again, “With this bad experience, I am not open to love again. As I said, I happy to be single!”

Speaking about her upcoming projects, Neha went on to add, “I did not take up any projects post my reality show (Indian Idol), but when MTV unplugged offered me a show with the ‘Kakkad’ special; I couldn’t deny it. For the first, all three of us – Tony Kakkar, Sonu Kakkar and I will be singing for Unplugged version. Filhal, isse behtar life me kuch nahi ho sakta hai. I have decided to sing only the songs written by my brother Tony; not anything else. I assure you that our audience will see that bonding between us which they have never seen till date. All the songs will be different from what the audience have heard so far.” (Also Read: After Break-Up With Himansh Kohli, Neha Kakkar Reveals The Good Thing About Being Single)

Opening up about the latest trend of recreating old songs, Neha Kakkar was quoted as saying, “I know that lot of people criticise singers who recreate old songs or do remixes, but personally I feel that there is no harm in it. Till date, whatever songs I have sung have done pretty well, they have broken records; I don’t see anything wrong in it. In fact, the new generation is getting a chance to listen to the old iconic songs in a new version. What’s wrong with it? People are loving it and so we are making it; it’s a simple thought! I am very happy to be a part of recreation team. In future, I would love to recreate ‘Tip tip barsa pani…’”

Sharing her desire to act but don’t want to be an unsuccessful singer-turned-actor, Neha added, “Believe me, I have got a lot of offers for acting. In fact, I like it when people approach me with films. But honestly, the reason behind not taking up any acting offers is the past records which have not been good for singers who turned into actors. I don’t want to be in the league of singers turning unsuccessful actors. I am a successful singer and don’t want to become an unsuccessful actor. May be in future if any project comes to me with a strong story line — especially women based film — I might give it a chance.” (Also Read: Neha Kakkar Breaks Down On The Sets Of Indian Idol 10, Amidst Her Break-Up News With Himansh Kohli)
