The COVID-19 pandemic has not been kind to any, relationships, health and finances everything is at risk but Neil Nitin Mukesh is making sure to keep his family united amidst these hard times.
Humans are considered social animals, we cannot survive without food, water and people around us. We feel secure with our friends, family and acquaintances. But the year 2020, has taken it all away as social distancing has become the need of the hour because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The entire world is facing the emotional, physical and financial turmoil that social distancing has led to. With almost two-months of lockdown, we are trying to accept the 'new normal'. The doorbells don't ring anymore, people have masked their faces and hugs are distant dreams, the pandemic has distanced us from our closed ones. Just like all of us, Bollywood actor, Neil Nitin Mukesh is going through a similar phase as his parents are not able to meet their little granddaughter, Nurvi. Due to the on-going crisis, the actor's baby girl was not able to go out and meet her grandparents for past six-months. Recently, Neil revealed how he is making his daughter stay connected to her parents. Scroll down to know more!
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Neil shared how he is making his daughter stay in touch with his parents. He said, "They were travelling for my father’s concert for quite some time and when they had just come back, this (lockdown) happened. My office is in Andheri where Rukmini (wife), Nurvi and I stay, and on Fridays, we usually go to our other house where my parents and Naman (brother) stay. But we aren’t doing that now. My worry is about relations, so I make sure we make Nurvi speak with her paternal and maternal grandparents and my sister Neha via video calls at least thrice a day." In the same interview, Neil said that his daughter is growing up and is learning new things. He stated, "She tells us when she is hungry, sleepy or when it’s her bath time. She follows her routine. Kids adapt to things so quickly. Rukmini is a hands-on mother, she is bringing up Nurvi well." Neil further added how he wants to inculcate the right values in his daughter that his father had taught him. He share,d "I also enjoy painting and reading up on ancient civilizations. My father has taught me to be humble and would the example of the big tree that bends when it bears fruits. I want to inculcate the same values in Nurvi. I think the time now is also teaching us to be humble, caring and be compassionate."
Neil keeps on sharing snippets of his life with his cute little daughter, Nurvi on Instagram. Once he had posted a video with his little girl, wherein he had revealed how he had kept a jacket from his film, Aa Dekhen Zara, as a token of remembrance, and 11 years later, he was wearing the same jacket but with his daughter in his arms. He had written a sweet note that could be read as "I love keeping a few things to take me down memory lane, to remind me of the journey, to remind me of moments spent. This jacket has been with me for 11 years. I wore it for Aa Dekhen Zara. Haha back then Ray was still single, today he has his baby daughter in his arms."
