Upon seeing photos of Rishabh with his new brother-in-law, Ankit Choudhary, netizens were left stunned by the striking resemblance between the two.
On March 12, 2025, Rishabh Pant's sister, Sakshi Pant, tied the knot with her longtime beau, London-based businessman, Ankit Chaudhary, in a dreamy wedding in Mussoorie. The star-studded ceremony, held at the ITC Savoy Hotel, saw cricketing legends like MS Dhoni, Gautam Gambhir, and Suresh Raina among the attendees. However, fans couldn’t help but notice that the groom, Ankit Choudhary, looked almost identical to Rishabh himself.
A photo from Sakshi’s wedding, featuring Rishabh and his mother standing behind the newlyweds, has taken social media to storm. As soon as the photo surfaced on the internet, netizens could not help but notice the striking similarities between Rishabh and his brother-in-law, Ankit, especially considering they were dressed similarly.
Netizens left no stone unturned to have their share of fun in the comments. In an IG post featuring the photo, one user commented, “But dulha he rishab pant lag rha h ye kaisa combination h bhai”, while another wrote, “Rishabh pant ki sister ne apne bhai k hi doppelganger se hi shadi kr li.” Yet another comment read, “Same same but different wala case”. Not much is known about Ankit Choudhary apart from the fact that he is a London-based businessman. He and Sakshi met when the latter went to pursue an MBA in the UK. The duo reportedly dated for over nine years before getting engaged in January 2024. They finally tied the knot on March 12, 2025.
Aside from the viral groom lookalike moment, videos of MS Dhoni dancing to the beats of Dama Dam Mast Kalandar alongside Rishabh Pant and Suresh Raina also lit up the internet. Popular Punjabi singer, Harrdy Sandhu also amped up the grand celebrations with his live performance.
Rishabh Pant was part of India’s 15-member squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. After actively celebrating India’s victory at the tournament, he flew straight to Mussoorie to attend his sister Sakshi’s wedding. Since then, he has been fully involved in the pre-wedding festivities, including the mehendi, sangeet, and haldi ceremonies. He even shared a special video capturing the grand welcome he received from his family upon his arrival at the wedding.
