Lady Superstar of South Indian cinema, Nayanthara and one of the most renowned filmmakers, Vignesh Shivan have finally taken the plunge and got married in an intimate ceremony in Mahabalipuram on June 9, 2022. The duo had looked absolutely like a royal couple as they had donned their respective wedding ensemble from the label, Jade. While Vignesh had opted for a beige-coloured handcrafted veshti, kurta and shawl. His darling wife, Nayanthara had draped in a gorgeous vermillion red-coloured, intricately embroidered saree and had completed her look with emerald and diamond jewellery.
For the unversed, while doing their first film together, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan in 2016, Nayanthara and Vignesh had met each for the first time. It was Vignesh's directorial debut, while Nayanthara was the lead actress. Gradually, their bond had grown stronger, and with time, the duo had fallen in love with each other. After dating for quite some time, they are now finally married, and pictures from their wedding ceremony are doing rounds on the internet.

In the videos, we can see Nayanthara looking gorgeous in a bright yellow-coloured saree, and she completed her look with heavy jewellery, including a neckpiece and matching earrings. She accentuated her look with minimal makeup, a sleek bun, bindi and her unique yellow-coloured mangalsutra. In Tamil, the mangalsutra is known as thaali. It's not the black beaded mangalsutra that we usually see. Instead, it is made of gold. On the other hand, Vignesh can be seen wearing a white-coloured dhoti-kurta. He completed his look with a white-coloured safa and a red-coloured Banarasi doshala.

On June 9, 2022, Vignesh Shivan had taken to his Instagram handle and shared moments from his marriage ceremony with his wife, Nayanthara and had announced their wedding to the world. In one of the posts, Vignesh had shared their varmala and mangalsutra moment and had written their beautiful love story in the caption that could be read as:
"Am Married! Just the Beginning of a bigger, stronger, crazy love story with you my #Thangamey! Love you #Thangamey #Kanmani Kadambari and now my wife."
