In a recent ‘Ask Me Question’ activity with her fans on Instagram, Nia was asked, 'why is she still single in spite of being so sexy?', to which the Jamai Raja actress replied, “Who told you I’m single?” Now this will surely set some tongues wagging!
In a throwback interview, Nia talked about love and stated, "Seriously, I am surprised that I am not dating anyone. Now, in fact, is the time when I should be [dating]. I would love to meet a guy without the goal of marriage or a serious affair in mind. I am open to dating someone, but the guy should be good-looking, handsome and chilled out."
Recently, Nia Sharma was trolled for wearing a white transparent dress. When asked about it, she was quoted as saying, “I can’t not wear something because the trolls don’t like it. If they felt that the dress was not appropriate, tough luck! And this is not the first time I have been trolled for my red-carpet look. I have more important things to do than pay heed to the trolls. Speaking about it, Nia expressed, "Well, when I am with my best friend, that's how I shower my affection. Now that does not mean people start questioning or captioning it as something vulgar. It was not done to create any kind of hype." When asked if she would do a lip-lock on small screen, she said, "The small-screen viewers in India are not ready for that. It will be a long time before we can have such tracks on our TV shows. Having said that, I don't mind kissing my co-actor or doing something bold, if the script demands it."
On her career choices, Nia shared, "I will do a TV show only if the role is strong and deserves my hard work and attention, I will never be reduced to a piece of furniture. I did get many offers for shows, but they didn't interest me. I don't believe in cameos either, unless they are meaty enough." When asked if she has found someone special in her life, she retorted, My personal life is personal.
