In a new conversation, Nick Jonas shared that he and Priyanka Chopra often discuss what if their daughter, Malti Marie makes a career in the entertainment industry.
Priyanka Chopra is a prominent Indian actress who broke the ice for Indian actors and performers in the West by working in Hollywood. Unlike other stars who work in a couple of films or portray Indian characters, the talented actress worked hard to establish her position. When Priyanka revealed that she would tie the knot with American pop singer, Nick Jonas, the world knew that their children would inherit the best acting and singing talent. Now, as their daughter, Malti Marie, is growing up in front of the limelight, everyone is curious about her future. In a new interview, Nick Jonas revealed whether the little star will ever enter the entertainment Industry.
Nick Jonas recently appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show where he discussed about his daughter, Malti Marie's career. For those unaware, Priyanka Chopra often shares videos of their daughter singing or accompanying her mother on the sets. Consequently, he was asked if Malti would make a career in music like other star kids in the West and if he would be comfortable witnessing her step into the entertainment world as a kid. Nick revealed that he and his wife, Priyanka, had already discussed it. However, the final decision will be taken by the little one when she grows up. He said:
"We have talked about it a lot. It's going to be her choice. We have a three-year-old, and she loves to sing."
Nick mentioned that making a career in the entertainment industry could be wonderful for their daughter, but he has learned from his experience that it's not easy. He admitted that he and his wife, Priyanka Chopra, have gone through a lot in their respective careers, which makes them anxious as parents. At the same time, Malti has been growing up in the spotlight, so that pressure would also surround her. The pop singer explained:
"It's also scary as a parent to think about all the things that I went through and my wife has gone through in her career. Your one job in life is to protect your kids, but it's also to let them fly and live their life."
In the same conversation, Nick Jonas shared that he and Priyanka once took their daughter to a music practice session. But Malti was unhappy about it. Moreover, she covered her ears and waited for the sounds to cease. However, Nick is proud of her little singing attempts and would support her in all her future endeavours. He continued and said:
"I'm so grateful to my parents for letting us take big risks and chances. I think they did a great job of balancing that support while also being a little scared at times. We want to do the same for her."
Nick Jonas began his career as a child actor on Broadway and later formed a band with his brothers, Kevin and Joe Jonas. He also worked on Disney Channel and later released albums like A Little Bit Longer. When their band separated, Nick released a few singles and has starred in films like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. On the other hand, Priyanka Chopra started her journey in showbiz by winning the Miss World pageant in 2000 and worked in films like Aitraaz, Fashion, Barfi! Mary Kom, Bajirao Masatani and more. She made her Hollywood debut with the TV series, Quantico and starred in films like Baywatch and Love Again.
