Niharika Konidela left many shocked a few months ago when she announced her separation from Chaitanya Jonnalagadda. For those who don't know, she is the niece of superstar, Chiranjeevi and cousin of Ram Charan. The news came as a shock for many. And now, for the first time, Niharika talked about her painful separation and shared how she still cries. However, her ex-husband, Chaitanya called her story 'one-sided'.

Niharika shared that she is at a stage where she wants to focus on herself and be available for her parents. She also shared the dependency she always had on her parents. She further added that she has been divorced for two years, and only she knows the pain she has gone through. Niharika also revealed how people troll her for her divorce, but her father, Nagababu never cared about what the world thinks. She said:
"I am thankful I have a father like Nagababu who said he doesn’t care what anyone thinks and that I’m the best thing to happen to him, I deserve to be happy. My divorce has shown me the value of family."
Niharika also added that she 'cried a lot' and learnt her lesson on not to trust people. She added that she married thinking it would be for a lifetime, but things turned out differently for her. She was quoted as saying:
"Everyone gets married hoping it’s for a lifetime, but things weren’t what I expected. I am only 30, I haven’t closed off my heart to love. But first, I want to be independent and work on myself before committing to a relationship. For now, I’m single."
Chaitanya wasn't a part of the podcast, but he made sure his story got out to the world. He commented on Nikhil's podcast, addressing him directly and not his ex-wife, Niharika. Chaitanya clearly stated how the interviewer should stop trying to attach the tag of a victim with respect to their marriage. He added that the pain of things not working out and the process of healing have been the same from both sides.
Chaitanya added that the concept of not talking about the divorce is to not interfere or rupture the healing for either of the people involved. His comment can be read as:
"You should stop trying to use the reach and platform to indirectly try and attach tags of victim and cause with respect to the marriage. This is the second time this is happening. The pain of things not working out and the process and ordeal of healing is the same for both the ends. The concept of not talking about the divorce, and especially just one side of it, is there to not interfere or rupture that healing again for either of the people involved. Talking about the pain in aftermath and healing is fine, that will help people."
In July 2023, Niharika put an end to her divorce speculations and confirmed the news on Instagram. She penned a note and revealed she has parted ways from Chaitanya Jonnalagadda and urged her fans to respect their privacy.
