South Indian actress, Niharika Konidela, is the daughter of actor-producer, Nagendra Babu and niece of famous actors, Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan. She had made her acting debut in the film industry with Oka Manasu in 2016. For the unversed, she had tied the knot with a business strategist, Chaitanya Jonnalagadda, on December 9, 2020, in a grand ceremony. One look at her wedding pictures, and it would show that Niharika's wedding was a star-studded one. It was attended by popular celebs from the South Indian film industry like Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Sai Dharam Tej, Varun Tej and many more.
However, on April 3, 2022, Niharika Konidela was detained by the Hyderabad police along with more than 140 other people from a pub at Radisson Blu Hotel in Banjara Hills, where they had raided at 3 am. The cops had reportedly found cocaine satches and other narcotics during the raid. Along with her, there were the daughter of a former Andhra Pradesh Director-General and the son of a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MP, the singer and winner of the Big Boss Telugu reality show, Rahul Sipligung, and many others. Based on media reports, the party was organised at the pub in violation of rules by operating beyond its permitted time, and thus the police had carried out the raid.

A few hours ago, Niharika Konidela's father, Nagendra Babu, popularly known as Naga Babu, took to his Twitter handle and shared a video talking about his daughter's arrest to clarify the situation. The popular actor said that police had confirmed that his daughter is clean and has no connection with the narcotics. Talking about the same Naga Babu said,
"I am responding to last night's incident at the pub in Radisson Blu as my daughter Niharika was present there at the time. As the pub was being operated beyond permitted hours, police took action on the pub. As far as Niharika is concerned, she is clear. As per the information shared by the police, they said Niharika has done nothing wrong."
Further in the video, Naga Babu appealed to the social and mainstream media. He mentioned that their conscience is apparent and requested everyone not to spend any further speculations. He added:
"To avoid unwanted speculations on social and mainstream media, I am releasing this video. Our conscience is very clear, I request you not to spread unwanted speculations."

Niharika Konidela and her father, Nagendra Babu, share a warm bond. After Niharika's wedding ceremony, Naga Babu had taken to his Instagram handle and had shared a beautiful picture from his daughter's wedding ceremony. In the picture, he was sitting beside his daughter, while she was performing some wedding rituals. Both the daughter and the father had looked super adorable.
Along with the picture, the doting father, Naga Babu had penned a beautiful note for his little girl. He had written in his long note:
"It looks like the end of an era... Serious nostalgia hit me all again... It feels like the first day of her school... Just that she won't be returning by evening. It took years to make peace with the fact that my baby girl is all grown up to go to school and I can't play with her 24 x 7... Just dunno how long it will be this time....' Only time will decide.' Already missing you Niha thalli."
