The couple got engaged on March 24, 2018, in a private ceremony in Goa, in the presence of their family and close friends. As it was an intimate engagement, the Ambanis decided to throw a grand post-engagement party for their son Akash and their soon-to-be daughter-in-law, Shloka. The star-studded party was held in their Mumbai residence, Antilia and was attended by who’s who of Bollywood and cricket world. The whole mansion was decorated with real flowers to make the night even more special. Though everything about the party was special, it was Akash’s twin sister Isha who stole the limelight with her heartfelt speech for her ‘Bhai’ and ‘Bhabhi’.

To welcome her brother’s dulhania, Shloka Mehta into the family, Isha said some beautiful words that touched everyone’s heart. Welcoming her into the family, Isha said, "Today is all about 'hearts'. The theme is 'hearts', Shloka is a 'heart', Akash is a 'heart'; it's about the greeting of hearts, the meeting of hearts, and the celebration of hearts. And Anant and I are all hearts for Shloka and Akash. I don't think our hearts could burst anymore with love and affection than it is today. And, we are just so happy to call Akash our bhai and Shloka our Bhabhi."

The happy sister, Isha could not control her emotions on getting a sister-like Bhabhi, that she further added, "Welcome to the family. But the truth is that Shloka has been a part of our family since as far as I can remember. Diya (Shloka's sister) and I were in school together, and Diya is the first best friend I ever had. And, by relation, Shloka has also been my best friend since...I don't know, I can't even remember a time in my life when I didn't know Shloka. So in many ways, this is the officialising the fact that we were sisters; born to different mothers. And I am just so happy that I finally get to call her my real sister. And, our family feels complete in a way that it never did before. So, welcome to the family." Isn’t it such a beautiful welcome for any girl who is about to enter a new home, leaving her family behind? Every girl deserves a sister-in-law like Isha, who considers her like her own sister. (Also Read: Soha Ali Khan And Kunal Kemmu Celebrate Their Daughter, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu's Half Birthday)

“They went to Kindergarten to learn ABC,

Not knowing — que sera sera —

What their future would be…

Gummy bears and jujubes,

Sparkle pops and jelly beans…

Sweetened their lives,

From childhood through teens!

Till glasses of milk made way for cups of tea…

And the Sky fell in love with sweet Chants of glee!

From ponytails and Barbies…

From pranks and football…

The years just blended…

And, today they stand tall –

With their eyes full of love

With one single plea…

Their hearts beat in rhythm

Singing, “Will you marry me?”

Today we bless them, and today we pray:

All through their lives, on each golden day,

May they always be there holding hands side by side

May Gods shower their blessings on this groom and his bride!”

What a lucky girl Shloka is to have a saasu-maa and nanad like Nita and Isha, who love and adore her so much. The grand wedding is expected to take place in December this year and we can't wait to see its grandeur.
