As a result, Nita ji had ended up losing 18 kgs, looking gorgeous. In an interview with The Times of India, Nita ji had revealed why she had decided to join Anant in his weight-loss journey. Revealing who had motivated her, Nita ji had said, “There was no motivation other than my son Anant. He suffers from obesity. He was highly asthmatic so we had to put him on a lot of steroids. He had to lose weight for health reasons. A child does what his mother does, so I couldn’t be seen eating while putting him on a diet. So I went on a diet along with Anant”
The doting mother had also stated how she did everything that her son, Anant did to lose weight. In her words, “Whatever he ate, I ate. Whenever he exercised, I did too. If he went for a walk, I would go along. By virtue of being his mother, I lost weight. He was my main motivation and continues to be, as we are still fighting obesity. There are so many children who have this, and mothers feel shy admitting it. But I think you have to motivate your child to lose weight, as the child looks up to you all the time. Both of us went away to Los Angeles for some time to a children's obesity hospital so I could get into a routine with him. I think that made my transition from whatever I was to what I am today.”

Anant Ambani had hired celebrity fitness trainer, Vinod Channa and had gone on a strict training for 18 months. His mother, Nita ji had followed his strict exercise routine. Now, even after so many years, Nita ji sticks to her routine with 40 minutes of exercise every day with yoga, swimming and dancing. Apart from all these, there were some other things, which had helped her shed her weight quickly.
Beetroot is one of the best vegetables and has most nutrients in it. It is excellent for promoting weight loss as it is filled with fat loss promoting agents. Nita Ambani’s weight loss diet plan had included beetroot juice and she would consume a glass or two of the same every single day.
