Nita Ambani has stunned everyone with her fashion and jewellery choices time and again. This time, she stole the limelight in a pretty purple gown and opulent diamond-emerald jewels.
Indian business tycoon, Mukesh Ambani and his wife, Nita Ambani, are leaving no stone unturned in celebrating the upcoming wedding of their son, Anant Ambani. The young businessman will get married to his ladylove, Radhika Merchant on July 12, 2024. Ahead of their wedding, the Ambanis have hosted not one but two pre-wedding ceremonies to celebrate their union. The first one was held in Jamnagar, Gujarat, in March 2024, and the second one happened aboard a luxurious cruise in the last week of May 2024.
Opulence was a common thread in both ceremonies, from the exclusive guest list and meticulous arrangements at the venues to the impeccable fashion choices of the Ambanis. One woman who commanded attention with her exquisite outfit and jewellery was none other than the mother of the groom, Nita Ambani. A recent social media post unveiled one of her looks from the second pre-wedding bash of Anant and Radhika. The businesswoman was a vision in a chic purple-hued gown, adorned with intricate floral work. However, it was her choice of jewellery that truly captivated us.

According to the jewellery content creator, Julia Hackman Chafe, Nita Ambani, the Chairperson of Reliance Foundation, chose a magnificent neckpiece comprising a gigantic asscher-cut emerald, emerald-cut diamond and a chain of diamonds weighing 4-5 carats each. Meanwhile, she opted for enormous emerald earrings to complete her look for the masquerade ball. While the exact cost of these jewellery pieces is not known yet, given the colossal weight, it’s safe to assume that they would cost millions of dollars, if not billions.
During Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s first pre-wedding, Nita Ambani stole the limelight with her Rs. 500 crore luxurious emerald necklace. For her son's hastakshar ceremony, she opted for a handloom Kanchipuram saree from the shelves of the renowned Indian designer, Manish Malhotra. However, her opulent jewels captivated everyone. She wore a long necklace featuring minute emeralds attached to two big-sized pendants, along with matching stud earrings, bangles, and a statement ring.

The chunky diamond ring that Nita Ambani wore, had a profound historical significance. As per Julia Hackman Chafe, the ring called the ‘Mirror of Paradise’, weighs 52.58 carats, featured tapered baguette-cut diamonds and was a D-colour internally flawless diamond. The same diamond was originally mined in the Golconda region of India and cost a whopping USD 6.5 million, which was approximately Rs. 53 crore. Nita Ambani’s diamond ring was previously sold at Christie’s auction in 2019 as part of the Maharajas and Mughal auction.
