Nita Ambani is unanimously re-elected to IOC

As the 2024 Paris Olympics are all set to roll out, the 142nd session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) was held in Paris. Before its opening ceremony, Nita Mukesh Ambani was once again elected to the IOC. The decision was officially announced by the IOC. Nita Ambani has been elected because she is a prominent Indian philanthropist and founder of the Reliance Foundation.

Nita Ambani expressed her gratitude at the re-election

After the official announcement, Nita Ambani expressed her gratitude to the International Olympic Committee for their support. At the same time, she didn't forget to mention that her re-election was a sign of India's increasing influence in the global sports landscape. She was quoted as saying:

Nita Ambani became a member of the IOC for the first time in 2016 at the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. She has been India's first woman to join the IOC and has made important developments in promoting the country's sports ambitions. She even played a vital role in hosting the IOC's first session in Mumbai for over 40 years in 2023.
