Tata's sons from his first marriage with Sooni Tata. After Ratan Tata's demise on October 9, 2024, Tata Group finally addressed people's much-asked questions about his successor.
It will be interesting to see how Indian-born Irish businessman, Noel Tata will lead the Tata Trusts. Well, as it was expected by many trade experts, Noel Tata was appointed as the chairman of Tata Trusts on October 11, 2024. The news created a stir in the Indian market, and industry experts are reacting to the appointment of Noel Tata as the successor of his half-brother, Ratan Tata.
At the moment, most of the experts are delighted with Noel's appointment as they're convinced he has the knowledge and expertise to lead Tata Trusts to greater heights. Renowned Tata Sons board member R Gopalakrishnan shared his views on Noel Tata's appointment in a conversation with CNBCTV18.
The board member clearly stated that he has full trust in Tata Group's chairperson, Natarajan Chandrasekaran's decision and believes in his vision. R Gopalakrishnan also added that Noel is a 'sensible man' who has his heart in the right direction. He also added that Noel can lead Tata Trusts to further heights due to his experience.
ENAM Holdings chairman, Vallabh Bhanshali also reacted to Noel Tata's appointment as Tata Trusts chairman. The industry stalwart revealed that Noel was shaped under the guidance of Ratan Tata, which is why the former also possesses almost the same qualities like the late business tycoon. Vallabh also added that the Tata family has a legacy of grooming leadership within the family. Showing his complete faith in Noel Tata, Vallabh stated that Tata's story is going to flourish from here. He said:
"The qualities of simplicity and humility, the quintessential Tata character, are all over him. Noel was shaped under the guidance of Ratan Tata, much like Ratan was under JRD Tata. I'm confident the Tata story will continue to flourish under him."
