In an interview with India Today, Nusrat Jahan opened up about her difficult pregnancy and facing a lot of trolling. Recalling the same, Nusrat revealed that she would get up with something or other in store for her and said:
“I am not saying it's easy. I would be lying if I were saying it's easy. You wake up one day and see some headline where someone is trolling you. Oh troll ho gayi hu, woh kya hota hai? Accha fatwa aaraha hai? Many said that she was not to be found. I have been sitting and signing maternity leaves for people. Women are bound and entitled to get that. But in my case, people suddenly stood up and said "Arre aap toh aate hi nahi." My God, I am not a woman? I am not a woman who has conceived? Are you all looking at me from that perspective?"
She also recalled being questioned about her absenteeism from work when she was eight months pregnant. Sharing how people’s constant criticism and accusation made her pregnancy difficult, Nusrat said:
“Aye ki tomake dekha jaache na? (what happened, we cannot see you?). So I told them, I am eight months pregnant, and I cannot travel. You cannot question amake dekha jacche na keno (why I cannot be seen). Then someone will say I am not doing this and that. So I have decided I am not sitting with a list of facts and figures here to show it to people as faceless as them. They are coming up with accusations which are allegedly right or wrong. They cannot decide that. I know what I am doing."

In an interview with ETimes, Nusrat had confirmed that Yash is the father of her child, Yishaan. Speaking about the same, Yash said that he wanted the baby but had left the final decision to Nusrat. In his words:
"I didn’t flinch when she told me. I just asked her if she wanted to go ahead with it. It’s not my body — it’s hers. She needed to decide. I told her I’d never leave her side irrespective of her decision. I wanted to have the baby but couldn’t have forced my decision on her. She even told me that if you want nothing to do with the baby, it’s okay, I’ll keep the baby."
On the work front, Nusrat and Yash will share the screen space in the upcoming political drama, Mastermoshai Apni Kichu Dekhenni.
