Happiness had knocked on the door of Bengali film actress-turned-MP, Nusrat Jahan on August 26, 2021, as she had become a mother to a baby boy for the first time. However, there were a lot of controversies and speculations regarding the father of her baby boy.
While on the one hand, it was her strained relations with her estranged husband, Nikhil Jain, on the other hand, her closeness with the Bengali film actor, Yash Dasgupta, had made everyone suspicious about their relationship. Though Nusrat has taken a stand that she would not disclose the name of her baby's father, but in her first public appearance, the actress talked about him.

On September 8, 2021, Nusrat Jahan made her first public appearance after delivering her baby boy. The actress has resumed work as she attended the opening of a salon in Kolkata in less than a month's time after the birth of her child. While addressing the media, when Nusrat was asked about giving a glimpse of her child, the actress said that her son's father is not letting her show the baby's face to anyone.
During the media interaction, when a reporter asked Nusrat Jahan about the child's father, she retorted saying that it puts a question mark on the character of a woman. She said, ''I think that’s a vague question to ask and puts a black spot on somebody’s character as a woman, who the father is.''

Going further in the interaction, Nusrat Jahan also revealed that her son's father knows that he is the father of the child, and therefore there is no need for her to answer others. She added, ''The father knows who the father is and we are having a great parenthood together at the moment. Myself and Yash, we are having a good time.”
Nusrat Jahan shared her experience of embracing motherhood for the first time and revealed that this new phase of her life feels great and is a 'new beginning'. The actress stated, ''It’s a new life, it feels like a new beginning.” She also confirmed in the media interaction that her son's name is 'Yishaan'.

Nusrat Jahan had delivered her child at the Bhagirathi Neotia hospital in Kolkata, and her rumoured boyfriend, Yash Dasgupta, was there with her throughout her delivery.
