Over the years, Pakistani dramas have not only gained immense popularity but have built their loyal viewers in India, which is why a large section of the Indian population are hooked to Pakistani dramas. Both the neighbouring countries have bonded over art and good quality content. India is known for making mass movies, and Pakistan is known for its dramas. The plot and acting in the Pakistani dramas have significant appeal in the hearts of Indians, which is why they constantly seek new dramas to binge on.

Starting from Zindagi Gulzar hai to Mere Humsafar, Pakistani dramas have had raging viewership in India. So much so that not only the dramas but also their original song tracks (OSTs) have been trending in India. #1. Mein

ARY Digital’s serial, Mein, is India's top trending ongoing Pakistani drama. It stars Wahaj Ali and Ayeza Khan in lead roles and is telecasted once every week on Monday. The story of Mein is about two self-centred and egoistic individuals, ‘Mubashira Jaffar’ and ‘Zaid’ who hail from wealthy families and are equally unlucky in love. The two are forced to be together as per their family’s pressure. This is their story of self-discovery and finding love.

#2. Mayi Ri

Mayi Ri is an ongoing revolutionary Pakistani drama that depicts the adverse effects of child marriage. The story follows the life of ‘Annie’, a 15-year-old schoolgirl, forced to marry her 16-year-old cousin, ‘Fakhir’. The two also become underage parents, and the drama progressively showcases the difficulties and challenges of their lives.

#3. Mohabbat Gumshuda Meri

Mohabbat Gumshuda Meri is a story of childhood friends turned lovers ‘Zobia’ and ‘Saim’. The drama is much loved in India and abroad for the chemistry of its main leads. However, as the story progresses, the relationship of its leads faces several challenges from the orthodox society, which the two combat together in their urge to stay united.

Jaise Apki Marzi is one of those dramas that depict the toxic reality of relationships and how addictive these relations can get over time. The story upholds the ground reality of masculine dominance in a patriarchal society.
