Orry Says Rihanna's Love For His Earrings Was A Part Of His Marketing Strategy: 'I Knew She Would..'

Orry recently revealed that his funny banter with Rihanna at the Ambani bash was a part of his special marketing strategy.

Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani hosted a star-studded pre-wedding soiree for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. For the unversed, the duo is all set to get married in July 2024. The 3-day long wedding soiree had been something that we couldn't get over yet. From the dance performances of the entire B-town to the ethnic fashion games by the international guests and, finally, the oh-so-energetic performance of Rihanna, everything left us starstruck. Although, the festivities are over, the internet sensation, Orry a.k.a Orhan Awatramani, has been providing us with unseen glimpses and anecdotes about the soiree. And something similar happened yet again as Orry revealed his viral exchange with the Barbadian singer, Rihanna.

Orry says he never knew who Rihanna was 

At an India Today event, Orry, a.k.a Orhan Awatramani, shared that although he loves Rihanna, he never knew her. Going further in the interview, Orry mentioned that he read Rihanna's IG name as 'Badalgiri', which in actuality is 'Badgalriri'. Orry stated:

"I love Rihanna. For the longest time, I did not know who she was. I read her Instagram name, which is ‘Badgalriri’, as ‘Badalgiri’. So, I have been following ‘Badalgiri’ on Instagram and I loved her.”

Orry mentions that his viral exchange with Rihanna was a part of his marketing plan

Going further in the interview, Orry mentioned that his banter with Rihanna had been a part of his marketing strategy. He stated that he has two kinds of strategy, ‘OOO’ or ‘OOI’ – Objects of Orry and Objects of Interest. Orry mentioned that his outfits often provide a talking point to others. The internet sensation further mentioned that he was sure that Rihanna would be looking at him as he had that 'Object of Interest', i.e, classy diamond earring along with him at that event, and everything happened according to the plans as Rihanna actually noticed him and also loved the earrings. Orry said:

"My marketing trick, which I shouldn’t be revealing this early, is ‘OOO’ or ‘OOI’ – Objects of Orry/Objects of Interest. I will make a little museum one day. In my outfit, there will always be a talking point. I knew Rihanna was coming. I knew Rihanna would be looking, and I had to have a beautiful Object Of Interest in my head."

Orry shares that Rihanna lost one of his earrings within seven minutes

Talking more about the same, Orry remarked that as soon as Rihanna saw his diamond earrings, she asked if she could get them. He shared that it was the moment when he asked his friends to click their photos. Orry also mentioned how only after seven minutes, Rihanna lost one piece of the earrings and came back again for another one. Orry can be quoted as saying:

"I wore these giant dandelion earrings, knowing she would see them, and rightfully, she did. She said, ‘I would like the earring please.’ I was like, ‘Of course!’ And I told my friend, ‘Take out your phone. This is the moment I wore this earring for.’ Took out the phone. Gave her the earring. Seven minutes later, she has lost the earring and has come back for the other one, and I pinned it on her top.”

When a video of Orry and Rihanna surfaced online

During the pre-wedding festivities of Radhika and Anant, we got hold of a video that featured funny banter between Orry and Rihanna. In the video, Orry could be seen giving Rihanna a hug while the latter grabbed the former's earrings into her palm. The caption of the video could be read as:

"RiRi Stole Orry’s crystal earrings lmao!!”

Ambanis paid a whopping amount to Rihanna for her soulful perfromance

Rihanna set the stage ablaze with her soulful performance, and there's no second thought about it. The singer not only left the audience screaming at the top of their lungs but also made the Ambani bahus, Shloka, and Radhika jump out of excitement on the stage with her. However, it was Rihanna's first performance in India, and she revealed that she loved it. Moreover, if the reports are to be believed, the singer was given a whopping amount of USD 5 million for her soulful singing performance at Anant and Radhika's pre-wedding.
