While Karwa Chauth is a much-anticipated festival for all married women, it becomes all the more special for newlyweds. Newly married women eagerly wait for their first Karwa Chauth and make sure to celebrate the festival in much fervour. Paarul Chauhan became Paarul Thhakar on December 12, 2018, when she married Chirag Thhakar. Paarul is celebrating her first Karwa Chauth this year.
On her first Karwa Chauth, Paarul posted a picture of her on her Instagram story where she looked breathtaking in a yellow saree with pink border. She wore red bangles, sindoor, matching gold jhumkas, mangalsutra and silver paayal. She radiated the Karwa Chauth glow through her picture. Paarul also posted a picture of her mehendi-clad hands which had Cherag ki Dulhan and Saubhagyawati Bhava written on it followed by the caption of heart emoticons.
Karwa Chauth is not only about fasting, but it is also about receiving gifts. Talking about gifts, Paarul Chauhan's husband, Cherag Thhakar posted a lovely picture of his wife from their wedding on his Instagram handle with a caption that could be read as “Happy karwa Chauth. This is our first karwa chauth and we r so excited.... The best gift I have given her is to let her fast and the gift she has given me is the promise that she won't ever fast again.... U no hungry hungry Paarul Thhakar.”
Revealing their love story with a leading publication, Paarul had quoted as saying, “I met Cherag in 2015 through a common friend and found him to be completely different from the people I come across usually. He is a simple and rooted guy. He did not propose to me. We have been good friends and everything is progressing slowly. I realised that I should marry a guy like him when I started to know him better, as he would always keep his companion happy. Last year, when my mother visited me during Diwali I invited Cherag and his family for the puja. When my mother met Cherag, she said that she wanted a son-in-law like him. The two families eventually talked about it and finally, we are getting married.” (Also Read: Deepika Singh Shares First Pictures From Her 'Karwa Chauth Puja', Looks Breathtaking In A Saree)
It was in September 2018, when Paarul had confirmed her marriage on social media. Speaking about the same, she had said, "I believe marriage is lifelong commitment and friendship is a lifelong engagement. Cherag, every single day I spent being your friend, I realise how lucky I am to live such an amazing life!! By choosing a best friend for marriage, I chose happiness for life. You are the best thing happened to me! Thank you very much to Rajan sir who always treats me like his daughter and being always my mentor and family. Thank you, my family and friends and fans for unconditional love. Cherag I have no words to explain but one thing I would like to tell you that, in you, I have found unconditional love for friendship and you will be my closest truest friend forever."
Talking about Cherag in an interview with India Today, Paarul had shared, "Cherag is not my boyfriend, he is my friend. We have not dated in the conventional term. If having coffee together and sharing everything with your best friend amounts to dating, then yes, we dated for three years."
