Pakistani actress, Iqra Aziz's doting husband, Yasir Hussain, shared how he feels about his wife's immense popularity amongst the audience.
Pakistani celeb couple, Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain are amongst the ‘It’ couple in Lollywood. While Iqra debuted in the world of glamour in 2014, she got recognition after she played the role of ‘Ajiya’ in the 2018 romcom, Suno Chanda. At present, Iqra is amongst the biggest stars in the country. On the other hand, Yasir, who is seldom seen on the screen, rose to popularity with his debut film, Karachi Se Lahore, and his antagonistic role in the drama, Baandi. The two got married in 2019 after a brief courtship and welcomed their first child, Kabir, in 2021.
Recently, Yasir appeared on Iffat Omar’s talk show, Say It All, and discussed various facets of his professional and personal life. While the two were talking about Yasir’s career in acting and direction, the host heaped praise on him and said that if he is involved in any project, then the audiences are intrigued by it. Moreover, Iffat said that actors need to sacrifice a lot to achieve the kind of position that Yasir has achieved.

To this, the actor shared that he has gained that position as he has said ‘no’ to many projects, and further added that he does not need much money. After this, the host questioned him regarding his wife, Iqra’s demand. The actor revealed that his wife is quite low-maintenance and said that the two only have an inclination towards good cars. Yasir also mentioned that after marriage, Iqra has significantly decreased the number of projects, and then the host questioned if his wife’s stardom has ever impacted him in anyway. To this, Yasir said:
“Ek toh theatre se mera talluk hai, maine 16 saal ki umar se bas theatre kiya hai. Theatre jab aap karte hai toh aap art ko bohot qareeb se samajhte hai, log aapke saamne baith ke daat dete hai ya nahi dete. Toh aap mein wo chiz aati hi nahi hai ego aur fame se pyaar, aapkp uss waqt sirf taaliyan chahiye hoti hai wo bhi apne kaam ke liye apne liye nahi, aap bade selfless se ho jate hai theatre karne ke baad.”

Furthermore, he shared that when one becomes selfless after doing theatre for so long, it does not matter who is more famous than you or who has a larger fan base. After Yasir’s response, Iffat further questioned if it really does not bother him at all that people hover around his wife for selfies, while he stands in a corner. The actor gave a beautiful reply to her question and mentioned:
“Abhi aapne ek baat kahi ki ‘People get around your wife’ toh jo ‘your wife’ hai na, usme jo ‘your’ hai na wo main hun. Toh mere liye ye bohot badi baat hai. Mera aur zindagi mein, agar dekha jai, toh Iqra se qareeb kon hai mere liye, koi bhi nahi, koi ho hi nahi sakta. Mera baccha bhi dusre number pe hai, meri biwi pehle number par hai.”
In the same conversation, Yasir shared an anecdote and revealed that once he had told one of his friends that he had given one of his apartments to his wife, Iqra, after marriage. While the actress did not willingly take the apartment, her husband forcefully gave it to her. When he was narrating this to his friend, he labelled him crazy and asked him what if she left him after a while. Yasir told him that if his wife left him, then what would he do with the empty apartment.
